Before we proceed to our main activity this morning lets have first our preliminaries

Contextual learning area. I am Ms. Shairrah Claire B. Batangue your competency trainer in
Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II. Today, I’m going to administer a training
needs analysis. So, I have here a Learning style quiz for me to identify what kind of learner
you are. Maybe you are Kinesthetic, Auditory or Visual kind of learner. I am now going to
distribute your learning style quiz questionnaire. Time is 8:30, you have 15 minutes to
finish answering. Okay, Time is Up. Let me collect your papers.

Alright, the result of your Learning style quiz states that Bryant and Indira are both
visual learners while Felimer you’re an Auditory type of learner. So Yesterday, I required you
to pass some documents as part of your Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). These
documents are your Transcript of Records, Certificate of Employment and Certificate in
Training. So, as I reviewed you’re RPL, most of you are high school graduates.

Now, we will be having our briefing and orientation on CBT qualification and delivery. CBT
or Competency Based Training is what we are using in this mode of program.
This activity is conducted at the very start of your training. This is to acquaint you to the
things that you will be needing during the training like facilities, materials, resources, what
is CBT and its 10 principles, my role as a trainer, your role as trainee the competency to be
covered, the workstations.

Welcome to our Practical Work Area, I am going to demonstrate to you the procedures
in Installing wiring devices.

question, I assume that you already understand what I have demonstrated. Since it is

AFTERNOON----PRACTICAL WORK AREA—(old trainees to demo)

Good afternoon trainees. Welcome back! Now, you are going to demonstrate
individually on how to Install wiring devices because earlier I have already demonstrated it.
You will be evaluating your performance using the performance criteria checklist.

Trainees before you start your work, always remember to observe safety precautions. In case
of accidents, please inform me immediately so that I can provide you with first aid.
If you have any questions or clarifications, don’t hesitate to ask me. You can see me at the
Institutional Assessment Area. I am more than willing to assist you.
Time is 1:00pm, you have 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish the task. You may start now.
INSTITUTIONAL ASSESSMENT AREA (older trainee)

Good afternoon Loyd! Welcome to Institutional Assessment. Alright, assume that you
are ready for the Institutional Assessment, based on your progress chart you are already
done with LO.1 and ready to perform for LO.2 which is to Install wiring devices.

Before you start your demonstration, you need first to have your written examination. Time
is 1:00Pm, you have 20 minutes to answer. Okay, time’s up! I will now collect your test
questionnaire.

Now, Given the overview of the assessment, you are here to perform the LO.2 which is to
Install wiring devices.
You are given 1hr to perform this institutional assessment.
The tools and equipment to be use are already available.

Please observe Occupational Health and Safety, wear your PPE as you perform the tasks.

evaluation.
