Instructional Planning surely contribute to the success of any lesson in the teaching of Social Studies.

Teachers in this subject, or even on the other subjects, should allot time for planning before the year
starts, before a particular quarter, and before the actual lesson. I know that many teachers are struggling  in
finding ways for the students to learn because many of them find the Social Studies subject boring. But,
through Instructional Planning, they will know what should be taught, how should it be taught, and how
should instruction and student learning should be assessed, thus, Social Studies can become an interesting
one for the students. Just for example, for the first two or three days, they will focus on achieving
competency 1. Teachers should set objectives that must be aligned with the Grade Level Standards and
Topics. A teacher who planned his or her lessons will have confidence when speaking in front of their
students. Of course, when they planned their lessons, they know what to teach and how to teach. They
will not get nervous because they are sure of what they are saying. It only means that teachers understand
the objectives of their lesson properly, so there is a big possibility that students will understand them too.
Instructional Planning helps and makes the class hours interesting because the lessons are organized. A
teacher may provide significant teaching strategies and activities. Example, they can tell students to have
a debate about death penalty. I believe that prepared teachers can capture the interest of their students in
the lesson and makes them curious on the topic because they understand it. When teachers have a mastery
of the topic, they surely planned their lesson. No matter how difficult student's questions are, they can
answer it because they have a broad knowledge about what they're teaching. If teachers have a clear
direction and not being lost to the topic, they planned their instructions beforehand. Therefore, they know
how to introduce and present their lesson well.
