 PREFACE
Research report is the part of our studies. All students have to research an
industrial or commercial organization. Their main objective is to arrange an
exposure to actual functioning of the real atmosphere surrounding the
organization. There are so many aspects, which are more complex in the
practical, and their treatment is possible only through bookish knowledge. I
did my summer training in RELIANCE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY
LTD. Practical work experience is the integral part of individual learning.
An individual who is learning managerial concepts has to undergo this
practical experience for being a future executive. Master of Business
Administration is a two-year program that inserts management knowledge in
an individual to make that individual completely professional for which
practical is must. Reliance money offered me a project on “Study of
strategy and financial products of reliance life insurance ltd. Co. “to
understand the current position through data provided by them. The training
report is the presentation of my observation at RELIANCE LIFE

Introduction of commercial banks:-
Commercial banks are very important segment of money market. They play a
very imporent role in the economey by mobilising saving from various
sectors,which is the foundation for the growth and development of the
economy.In turn,the growth and development of economy determines the
growth of banks as well.in other words,when the economy grown the
commercial banking also undergoes changes as is evident from the changes
taking place in the banking industry since 1991.These changes are intimately
connected with the basic economic policy of the country.
Earlier, the country, under the influence of socialist thought,
witnessed the emergence of public sector banks and the private sector banks
had Little role in the economy. With the initiation of the process of
liberalisation and globlisation of the economy, the financial sector, particularly
the commercial banks are the first to experiencethe winds of change.
