WHAT IS PYTHAGORAS THEOREM?
The Pythagoras theorem which is also sometimes termed
as Pythagorean theorem is the most important formula
of geometry branch. According to Pythagoras, the
square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the
squares of the other two sides of a triangle. For a
triangle with hypotenuse length c, and other two
sides’ length a and b, the theorem would imply -
a2 + b2 = c2

Adding equations (1) and (2), we get
AB2 + BC2 = (AD × AC) + (CD × AC)
AB2 + BC2 = AC(AD + CD)
And, AD + CD = AC

we get, AC2 = AB2 + BC2

Applications of Pythagoras Theorem

The Pythagorean Theorem is useful for

two-dimensional navigation.
Painting on a Wall: Painters use ladders to paint
on high buildings and often use the help of
Pythagoras’ theorem to complete their work.
Finding the Right Sized Computer: Monitor size
is always is given as measure of diagonal.
