Mexico's physical features include plateaus, mountains, and
coastal lowlands. Mexico's climate and vegetation include
deserts, tropical forests and cool highlands. Key natural
resources in Mexico include oil, silver, gold and scenic
landscapes.
Geography 2 How does it affect the people?
The tropical climate affects the people in Mexico because it compromises their jobs. For
example, due to its climate being tropical, farmers' main crop is sugar cane. This is due because
its temperature varies from 50 to 90 Fahrenheit, which is perfect for it to grow during harvest
time. Also, its geography affects its economy because countries that are located in mid latitudes
tend to have greater agricultural potential than those in high latitudes. This is also why Mexico is

more of an exporter country than an importer.
