Exercise 8
Exercise 8
There are many ways to contribute for the common good of the people and the
society but the being respectful and being humble are the most efficient way to help
other people. By being respectful and humble to other people, you are also encouraging
them to become a better person for their society, in that sense there would be less
conflict and people would easily understand other people's perspective despite their
differences in religion, beliefs culture and even race. The more harmonize the humans
are the more we can see the beauty in contributing to the common good. Just by
thinking on every decision and action we do or words we speak towards other people.
By just doing our part we can surely see dramatic difference on what world we have
right now.
The only thing that I can do to contribute to the common good is by following
what is right and would benefit the whole society whether in terms of education, religion,
law and etc. One can contribute to the common good only by doing good in what the
majority thinks is right and ethical to do. Respect is a great contributor to one's idea on
doing good deeds because if you respect someone, you also love them and care for
them. Respecting one’s identity, respecting his belief and even respecting on what he is
as a person is what a mere student like me can contribute to the common good. And if
there are any wrong rule that the common good suggest as a student I can also speak
for what i think the most ethical way to correct such rule or belief because no matter
how many people are there and if their statement is somehow not appropriate for the
humanity it is the time for us the student, the youths to tell them the majority that it is not
just to perform such rule that would surely harm the thinking of society on what is good
and what is right
