PREFACE

Thank to Almighty God who has given His bless to the writer to finish this
mini research timely, which is the assignment of differential calculus course.

This mini research contains of derivatives and intersection point. The

author realized that assignment are not perfect, but the author hope it can be useful
for us. Critics and suggestion is needed here to make this assignment be better.

INTRODUCTION

I.1 Background
Calculus Differential is one of our chore and in order to fulfill one of the
tasks which is the mini research, a paper about the mini research is created, where
an mini research paper contains how to solve a difficult problem becomes easier
to implement. The contents of our mini research papers is about the how to
measure velocity with derivative. In the life of learning we usually know that
derivatives is one of the most difficult material to be understood by students and
students therefore we also make this mini research , so that later useful and to
make it easier for students and students to understand the material.

I.2 Formulation of Problem

 How to get the value of derivatives special angles in short time?

I.3 Objectives
 To fulfill one of KKNI's tasks on idea engineering.
 To give lessons about derivatives.

THEORETICAL FOUNDATION

II.1 Literature Review

The concept of Derivative is at the core of Calculus and modern
mathematics. The definition of the derivative can be approached in two different
ways. One is geometrical (as a slope of a curve) and the other one is physical (as a
rate of change). Historically there was (and maybe still is) a fight between
mathematicians which of the two illustrates the concept of the derivative best and
which one is more useful. We will not dwell on this and will introduce both
concepts. Our emphasis will be on the use of the derivative as a tool.

The derivative of a function of a real variable measures the sensitivity to

change of the function value (output value) with respect to a change in its
argument (input value). Derivatives are a fundamental tool of calculus. For
example, the derivative of the position of a moving object with respect to time is
the object's velocity: this measures how quickly the position of the object changes
when time advances. The derivative of a function of a single variable at a chosen
input value, when it exists, is the slope of the tangent line to the graph of the
function at that point.

The tangent line is the best linear approximation of the function near that
input value. For this reason, the derivative is often described as the "instantaneous
rate of change", the ratio of the instantaneous change in the dependent variable to
that of the independent variable. Derivatives may be generalized to functions of
several real variables. In this generalization, the derivative is reinterpreted as a
linear transformation whose graph is (after an appropriate translation) the best
linear approximation to the graph of the original function. The Jacobian matrix is
the matrix that represents this linear transformation with respect to the basis given
by the choice of independent and dependent variables.

2
It can be calculated in terms of the partial derivatives with respect to the
independent variables. For a real-valued function of several variables, the
Jacobian matrix reduces to the gradient vector.

The process of finding a derivative is called differentiation. The reverse

process is called antidifferentiation. The fundamental theorem of calculus states
that antidifferentiation is the same as integration. Differentiation and integration
constitute the two fundamental operations in single-variable calculus.

RESEARCH METHOD

III.1 Data Collection Method

The data collection of this research with search the rule in book or internet
and do the discussion with our group.

III.2 Data Analysis Method

For this type of exercise we must do the derivative’s rule which is called
differentiation. In the end we can get the result of the velocity.

CONCLUSION

V.1 Conclusion

For that equation we can use the method with derivative. But before we
do thw calculation we must measure the volume of coffee to help the next step of
derivative. At the we got the result of the velocity rate of the coffee is
