help is available. We utilize volunteer work teams as
well as trained nationals using short and long range
goals to improve these villages as much as possible in
the areas of Health, Education and

race, religion or background as a demonstration of
God’s unconditional love for all people and our goal is
to improve the lives of impoverished children, widows
and families.

Our desire is that each child in our care come to

know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Our goal
is to impart hope and a renewed vision for their
future through teaching the wisdom of God’s Word
and equipping and preparing them through education
and training to reach their potential as influential

New Life Children’s Home
was conceived in 1977 when God
showed us the immense suffering of
severely malnourished and dying chil-
dren in the remote mountain
villages of Haiti. In their desperate
need for medical care, they would
walk for hours over the rugged ter-
rain to reach our open air clinics. The
Haitian people and their children were
suffering with every disease known to mankind.
There were no medical facilities available. It was normal to
find children with typhoid, malaria, parasites, TB, severe
burns and infection. Many had leprosy, elephantiasis, teta-
nus, and spinal meningitis. Many of the children who were
brought to the clinics were suffering from malnutrition that
was so severe they would die right in front of us. God
showed us that if we did not take these dying children to
Port-au-Prince, they would have no hope.
The trip back to Port-au-Prince to get these critically ill
children to the hospital, could take days. Trying to keep IV
and NG tubes in place was difficult while traveling on boats
and trucks. The children had fevers, they were vomiting
and had continuous diarrhea.. Often the hospitals had no
room for them. The most difficult decision was choosing
which child was closest to death and which one could survive
until we were able to return to the village in a few months.
At first we rented a house in Port-au-Prince. One by one
our family began to grow and we purchased the Mission
property in the early 1980’s. This land is where New Life
Children’s Home is currently located and where hun-
dreds of children have been rescued and have truly found a
New Life!
“THEY JUST ASK TO LIVE”
Have you ever envisioned a child alone, hungry and
frightened no place to call home?
No father or mother, and no one to share, too heavy a
burden, with no one to care.
If only our spiritual eyes could behold, the worth of
these children, “More precious than gold.”
They ask for so little, we’ve so much to give, we have
in abundance, they just ask to live.
BEFORE & AFTER
The Children: We currently have over 125 children in our
care. Of course, our numbers will fluctuate depending on
circumstances and need.
Special Needs Children: After their initial intake and
after they have been cared for medically and physically,
most of our children are restored to an optimal level of
health, but we also have children who are physically and
mentally disabled and some who have long term care issues
such as burn victims and HIV positive infants and children.
Many of these special needs children were abandoned and
had no where else to go. With God’s help and the help of so
many faithful partners we are able to give these children a
loving environment.
