The house is designed to provide farmhouse experience within the

city limits through the linking of interiors to the exteriors.

2 | KABEER BUNGALOW > USINE STUDIO

To weave the feeling of a farmhouse, the architects merged the house with the
landscape which, thus emotes tranquillity. A large mass of concrete wall limited to
the exterior, separates the garden and the foyer. Securing the garden behind it, the
wall perceptually defines the division of space in the interiors.

The private spaces like master bedroom, family dining are located to the left and
the semi-private zones like the puja room, kitchen, guest bedroom and utility are
positioned in the right. A geometrical metamorphosis of a rectangular designed
screen at the foyer gives a distant vision of the interiors. Simple proportions and
feeling of abundant space was created by juxtaposition of masses.

The spaces are arranged along the periphery walls that define and support the
structures of the house. A water body surrounding the puja room and abstraction of
Zen gardens with a concrete bench at the entrance establishes the mood of person
entering the house.

The formal living has an opening at the eye level of the person sitting in and making
the vision of nature unending. It houses a rare concept of nature with grey hues. An art
work on the wall is inscribed on an MDF board made by incorporating pastel shades of
every element in the room.
6 | KABEER BUNGALOW > USINE STUDIO

The bar is housed in the family room following the concept light and shadow. Basic
engraving and embossing techniques with plain hues are used to create such an
elegant light element in the bar area which is also clubbed by a dining space. A tint
of color and a sense of artistic space in an area with grey floor and white ceiling
are added by temporary elements like sofa and an original Painting on the wall. A
minimalistic and sleek – open wooden stair with metal base leads from ground floor
to the first landing in passage.
