RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MSEAC RESOLUTION ENTITLED “A RESOLUTION

REQUESTING THE BARANGAY COUNCIL OF BARANGAY PUTIK THROUGH
BARANGAY CHAIRMAN, HON. JERRY F. PEREZ TO REQUEST THE ZAMBOANGA
CITY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. (ZAMCELCO) TO DONATE PARCEL OF
LAND WITHIN ITS PREMISES/COMPOUND IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT A MULTI-
PURPOSE BUILDING WHICH IN TURN WILL ALSO BE UTILIZED FOR THE
ACTIVITIES OF THE BARANGAY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES THEREOF

WHEREAS, the Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) Putik of

Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMCELCO) submitted a resolution requesting
the Barangay Council of Putik to request the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc.
(ZAMCELCO) to donate parcel of land within its premises/compound in order to construct a multi-
purpose building;

WHEREAS, it is worthy to note that the construction of a multi-purpose building would greatly
benefit the member consumer owners (MCOs) in general which in turn can be utilized for the activities of
the barangays anytime in consideration of the fact that it is also within the territorial jurisdiction of the
barangay itself;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council of Putik firmly believe on the advocacy of the electric
cooperative and its mandate for sustainable rural development;

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council of Putik and its constituents, the member consumer owners
(MCOs) are beneficiaries of rural electrification program and any development initiative would in turn
benefit the entire barangay and the MCOs in general;

WHEREAS, the fact that the Barangay Council has no available land area for the said purpose,
we find it reasonable to consider and support the request of MSEAC through a resolution to request the
Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMCELCO) to donate parcel of land within its
premises/compound in order to construct a multi-purpose building for the EC MCO since the cooperative
has an available land area viable for the said purpose;

WHEREAS, considering the good collaboration between Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative,
Inc. (ZAMCELCO) and the Barangay Council of Putik, we are very confident that the idea of
constructing a multi-purpose building within the cooperatives’ premises/compound is thereto ideal and
significant in the spirit of cooperativism and true service for the people not just for the constituents of the
barangay but much more among the member consumer owners of the cooperative in line also with the
mandate that any property of the government is of the people, by the people and for the people;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of duly seconded by ;

BE IT RESOLVED to support the request of the Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council

(MSEAC) of barangay Putik to request the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMCELCO) to
donate parcel of land within its premises/compound in order to construct a multi-purpose building for the
EC MCO as well as the inhabitants of the Barangay;

RESOLVED FINALLY that this resolution be furnished to the Zamboanga City Electric
Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMCELCO) Board of Directors for approval, the Ako Padayon Pilipino Party List
thru Representative , and to the Multi-Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council
(MSEAC) of barangay Putik for reference.
