Prophetic Focus: WHAT WISDOM IS THIS – Matt. 13:54
Teaching Series: BENEFITS OF WISDOM FROM ABOVE
Introduction:
The glory of the end-time church is rooted in the manifestation of the manifold
wisdom of God – 1 Cor. 2:6-8/ Eph. 3:8-11.
1 Cor. 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the
princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden
wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew:
for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Eph. 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the
Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the
intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the
manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Jam. 3:17 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed,
and hath been tamed of mankind:

Week 1 (Saturday, 4th March, 2021): Benefits of Wisdom from Above – Pt. 1
❖ Engenders peace – Pro. 3:13/17/ Is. 59:8
Pro. 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 17 Her ways are
ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Isa. 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them
crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
❖ Provokes creativity – Pro. 8:12/ Ps. 104:24
Pro. 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
Psa. 104:24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth
is full of thy riches.
Week 2 (Saturday, 11th March, 2021): Benefits of Wisdom from Above – Pt. 2
❖ Provokes great accomplishment – Pro. 3:19/ Jer. 10:12/ Mt. 13:54
Pro. 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Jer. 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath
stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
Mt. 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that
they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
❖ Empowers for wealth – Deut. 8:18/ Pro. 8:14-19/ 1 Kgs. 3:9/12/13
Deut. 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that
he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Pro. 8:14 ounsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. 15 By me kings reign, and
princes decree justice. 16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. 17 I love them that
love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches
and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
1 Kgs 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between
good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 12 Behold, I have done according to thy
words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee,
neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked,
both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
Week 3 (Saturday, 18th March, 2021): Benefits of Wisdom from Above – Pt. 3
❖ Wisdom is better than the weapon of War – Eccl. 9:18/ Luk. 21:15
 Ecc. 9:18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
Luk. 21:15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said
one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the
Lord hath made known unto us.
❖ Commands signs and wonders – Mt. 7:24-25/ Jn. 2:3-7/9/ Mt. 13:54
Mt. 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise
man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds
blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Jn. 2:3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto
her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants,
Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the
purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with
water. And they filled them up to the brim. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made
wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast
called the bridegroom,
Mt. 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that
they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

Week 4 (Saturday, 25th March, 2021): Benefits of Wisdom from Above – Pt. 4
❖ Grace and glory – Pro. 11:30/ Pro. 3:35/ 1 Cor. 2:6-8
Pro. 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Pro. 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

❖ Guarantees long life – Pro. 3:13/16/ Pro. 4:7-10
Pro. 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 16 Length of days is
in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

Pro. 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. 9 She
shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. 10 Hear, O my son,
and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Jesus is Lord!
