 Nine-Day Novena for the Faithful Departed
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, AMEN.
 
All: Heavenly Father, we believe that in your wisdom and justice, you willed
to purify all persons who have died without having attained the state of
purification that they need for all eternity, and all who still have to discharge
completely the sins they had committed on earth. We also believe that you
have mercifully arranged that the process of purification can be aided by the
prayers of the living.
 
Help us in praying for Norma Oller Magpoc, M.D. who had departed from
this world. May Norma’s time of purification be short, and quickly be guided
into the holy light promised by our Lord Jesus. Lord, we offer you our
sacrifice and prayers. Accept the soul of our faithful departed, Norma, and
admit her to the joy in heaven.

Leader: Lord our God, receive our supplications, prayers, mortifications, and
sighs in suffrage for the holy soul for whom we make this novena, Norma,
and we pray that by the motherly love bestowed on you by your most Holy
Mother, when she followed you on the way of sorrow up to Mount Calvary,
and grant what we ask of you in this novena for your greater honor and glory.

Leader: Merciful God, we beseech you, by the pain which your Holy Mother
saw you suffer and agonize on the cross, that the holy souls in purgatory be
freed from those pains; especially for the soul of Norma, for whom we are
praying and offering in this novena. Bring those who are submerged in their
sins to a true knowledge of their guilt and grant what we ask of you in this
novena, for your greater honor and glory.
