Non-Mendelians Genetics
What is Non-Mendelian's Inheritance?
Non-Mendelian's is any pattern of inheritance in which traits do not
segregate in according with Mendel's Law.Non-Mendelians includes
Incomplete dominance, Codominance, Multiple Alleles, Polygenic
traits, Environmental effect, Pleiotropy, Lethal Allele, Sex Inheritance,
Incomplete dominance can manifest, where offspring do not display
traits of either parent but rather, a mix of both, in short Incomplete
Dominance is a mixture of both genotype and phenotype of a
parent and after it is cross by a punnet square it will result to a new
type pf genotype and phenotype (you will understand this once you
see the example I made.)
How can non-mendelian help in gardening or planting flowers.
-By learning Non-Mendelians Inheritance you can predict the color of
the specific flower. Also punnett square can be really a great help if
you want to know the result of the offsprings genotype or phenotype
(and punnett square by the ay is when you cross or breeding using
the genotype and phenotype of the parents.) and by using punnet
square you can make your own color flower the breed them together
.In Non-mendelian you can also experience the self pollination and
cross pollination this happens when a pollen grain moves from the
anther (male part) of a flower to the stigma (female part), pollination
happens. The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to
create offspring for the next generation.Cross pollination is a great
help in gardening because you can see both of the parents
phenotypes and it make it unique.
Bougainvillea

This is Bougainvillea it is named after the french navigator louis de bougainvillea who
found the first bouganvillea at brazil in 1768. Bougainvillea is a genus of thorny ornamental
vines, bushes, and trees belonging to the four o' clock family. This flower is commonly be
seen in the public areas of the Philippines actually you can see it everywhere also in Ilocos
Norte. It's not the flowers that make this plant so colourful, it's actually the magenta
bracts.Bougainvilleas are also known as Napoleón, veranera, trinitaria, Santa Rita and
papelillo.Bougainvilleas grow 1-12 metres (3 to 39 feet) in height depending on the
species, and can grow it in pots, as a bonsai, in hanging baskets, along walls, over trellises,
as a hedge and other places in the garden.Bougainvillea should be planted on higher
ground or hillsides, not in water-logged or low areas where water might collect. They will
grow best when given enough space to spread out, and should be planted in an area that
will allow them a minimum of 5-6 hours of sunlight every day.
Orchid
This plant as you can see in the picture is an orchid flower. The Orchidaceae are a diverse
and widespread family of flowering plants, with blooms that are often colourful and
fragrant, commonly known as the orchid family. This flower can be seen in Quezon
City. There are about 141 genera of orchids representing about 1,100 orchid species, 900
of which are described as endemic to the Philippines. Many of them have showy, brightly
colored and attractive flowers.Because there are about 141 genera of orchids
representing about 1,100 orchid 1 of them is Vanda sanderiana it is unofficially dubbed
of the National Flower, as the only representative of the species is unique to the
Philippines and is only found on the island of Mindanao. When growing this kind of plant
you must consider watering it once a week,Position your orchid in a bright windowsill
facing east or west,Weekly feeding with a fertilizer designed for orchids. These plants
thrive in strong light, but direct sunlight can burn orchids.
So that you could fully understand my explanation in Non-Mendelian's Genetic here's a few
examples of breeding using a Punnett square(you can do incomplete dominance complete
polygenic trait, sex inheritance and so on but I use incomplete and complete for this 2
examples of mine.)
