Research Questions:
1. Is there a significant difference in the anxiety level of students when group according to:
1.1 Socio economic
1.2 Sex

Sex Mean t p-value Remarks

Overall male 4.7083 18.988 .000 Significant
anxiety female 1.5556 17.391

The table provides data of the comparison in the student’s level of anxiety when
examined according to sex. This shows that there is a significant difference in the level of
anxiety of students when group according to sex (t=18.988 p<0.5). By inspecting the mean
scores, male students (m=18.988) shows higher level of anxiety than female students
(m=17.391) lower than male. This result shows that male is more highly exposed to anxiety
than female.

Overall level Poor 5 4.2000 1.06979 35.274 .000 Significant
of Anxiety Middle class 4 4.7500 .166667 Significant
Upper class 5 1.4000 .14907 Significant

The table shows results on the comparison in the overall anxiety level according to socio-
economic status of students. This shows that there is a significant difference in student’s anxiety level
when grouped according to socio-economic status (F=35.274, p<0.5). Since the ANOVA test is
significant, POST HOC test is to be performed to provide multiple comparisons and determined which
group have significant difference (see table below.) Based from the post hoc test, the upper class
have significantly show that the anxiety level is at lowest when compared to both middle class and
poor (p<0.5). On the other hand, there is significant difference in the mean attendance across grade
levels (p< 0.5)
