Below Steps to be done by Store onsite Engineer while powering on the Store
devices:

Note: Physically installalation of the devices and configuration of PPPoE can be

completed beforehand, but DO NOT add the Fortimanager IP on the Fortigate
firewall until above steps are completed by FortiManager Admin.

STEP 8:

a. Connect the devices as shown in below diagram and Power ON all the 3 devices
(Fortigate firewall, FortiSwitch and Forti AP.

b. Connect your Laptop’s Ethernet port to Fortigate Firewall’s LAN port 1
Configure your laptop’s Ethernet settings as below 192.169.1.100

c. Login to Store Fortigate firewall GUI using its LAN mgt IP (192.168.1.99),
https://192.168.1.99
Username: admin
Password : There is no password by default (nothing, blank)
d. Then it will ask you to change password.
Old Password : no password (nothing, blank)
New Password : Enter new password : xxxxxxx (Use password provided by the Admin)
Confirm Password : Enter new password : xxxxxxx (enter same new password again to confirm)

e. Then, login with your newly configured password

password: Your NEW password
Click Later…
f. Upgrade the Fortigate firewall software from running version 6.0.6 to 7.0.1 one after other as
mentioned in the path below.
Upgrade path is from running version 6.0.6 --> 6.0.10 --> 6.2.7 --> 6.4.6 --> 7.0.1

NOTE: Fortigate firewall Software files are provided to your team.

Upgrade Procedure:

1. Login to the Fortigate GUI .

2. Click System → Firmware

 3. Under Upload Firmware → Click Browse and select the software file.

4. Click Backup config and upgrade to complete the software upgrade.

Device will install the software and reboot.

5. Upgrade the Fortigate firewall to from 6.0.6 --> 6.0.10 --> 6.2.7 --> 6.4.6 --> 7.0.1

g. Go to Network -→ Interfaces -→ setting, Select “wan” interface (double click)

h. Configure PPPoE on wan interface as per the details provided by service provider.
Under “Administrative Access” setting, make sure “Ping , FMG-Access, HTTPS, SSH” are ticked.
i. Go to Fabric Connectors - > FortiManager setting..
j. Click “On-Premises” and configure FortiManager IP (194.170.219.70), click ok..

k. It will display a message stating Fortigate is registered to FMG-VMTM21009300, click ok

l. Click close..
STORE SERVICES VERIFICATION by Onsite Team to be done
only after Fortimanager Admin completes his configuration:

a. Connect to any Fortiswitch ports between 1 - 21 and check internet and HO services.
Note: Fortiswitch ports 22 and 23 are for Access Points connectivity.

b. Connect to STORE wifi (SSID : UAEStore) and check internet and HO services.

NOTE: You need to manually configure IP address on your PC or mobile while connecting to both
LAN and Wifi. DHCP is disabled on both LAN and WiFi as per Americana policy.
