A LEARNING MODULE FOR STUDENTS IN EDUCATIONAL

TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (FS 3)

Lesson Topic: LEARNING THROUGH PEDADOGY

ACTIVITY 23-32

Term: PRE FINALS

Week: Week 1-4
Duration: 2 hours/ day

III. LESSON PROPER

ACTIVITY 1:
Increasing user-friendly computer programs are making it possible to combine
information in different forms including words, images, and sounds.
Choose one program and explore its features.

My Adventure in Multimedia
Guide Question for Reflection:

1. What is the possible use of your chosen program to your learning?

What about to teaching?

Google Classroom is a suite of online tools that learners to access

reading materials or topics discussed by teachers. They can accessed it
anytime of the day. In teaching, it allows teachers to set assignments, have
work submitted by students, to mark, and to return graded papers. It,
effectively, was created as a way to get rid of paper in classes and to make
digital learning possible.

2. What is its strength and limitation

Google classroom advantages are as follows;

- easy to use and accessible to all forms of devices
- effective communication and sharing
- speed up the assignment process
- effective feedback
- no need for paper
- clean and user friendly interface
- great commenting system

Google classroom limitations

- difficult account management
- limited integration option
- no automated updates
- difficult learner sharing
- editing problems
- no automated quizzes and test
Activity 2.

You will be able to develop your own course ware, create a

database linking documents, present programmed slide presentation
from video slides, and enrich your subjects with a wealth of technology.

COURSEWORKS AND DATABASE IN MY SUBJECTS

Guide Question for Reflection:

1. What were your criteria in choosing document, slide presentation and

website to create database?
- consider the nature of application
- availability of data and break it to simplier form
Activity 3.
Computer encourages students to revise and rewrite compositions and
this develops greater fluency and greater fluency and a more effective
style. Recognizing errors manuall often inhibits ongoing correction and
revision. The use of computers to facilitate these processes gives
students a greater sense of control over their writing.

REVISE AND RE WRITE COMPOSITION

Activity 4. Applying Multimedia Technology

1. Important ideas or insights gained from the activities

- Multimedia technology uses texts, graphic, animation, sound to deliver
information.

2. Areas I would like to learn about:

- Id like to know if what is the role of multimedia in the teaching and learning.

Activity 5. Introduction to Basic Mathematics

Title of Software: TUTORIAL SOFTWARE

Author: Chano Alfornon
Content Area: Instructional Software for Classroom Use

Features Strengths Limitations

- To drill and practice -Criticism by
-act like human tutor by constructivism
providing all information -Reflect only one
and instructional instructional approach
activities, summaries, -Lack of good products
explanation, practice
routine, feedback and
assessment.
Guide Question for Reflection:

1. As you explore the features of the different programs, think of the

possible uses in the teaching of mathematical concepts and skills
The use of tutorial software, there is extensive interactivity, it uses
appropriate pedagogy and uses appropriate instructional tool to deliver
efficiently its message.

2. Do you think this software will help in acquiring these concepts and
skills? How?
Yes. Tutorial can contribute in acquiring knowledge.

Activity 6
Developing mathematical thinking and problem solving about real world
situations through what is called “anchored instruction”
Explore around six complex mathematical problems for you to solve.
Choose on problem to solve.

1. 2+5= 12 4. xy+x= 2x+y 7. (x)+(x)=x

2. x+y+z=1 5. 1+1+2=4
3. 1+4=5 6. (1y+y)= 2y
Guide Question for Reflection:
1. What were the thinking process's that you used in solving problems?
The expatiation and collaboration of mathematics through problem-
solving, reasoning and proof, communication connection and representation.

2. Will you solve it differently.

Yes, if I can.

IV. Assessment

Demonstrate your capability of learning basic skills and higher

order thinking skills in this program.

Capability to learn basic skills means you are focusing to

absorb knowledge and apply what you have learned. Skills can be
learned and can be trained in different way. Organizing the concepts and
mastering it is a good way to start enhancing your critical thinking skills
and higher order skills

Guide Question to for Reflection:

1. How did the Stanley Pogrow “HOTS” program help you enhance your
thinking skills?
The program focuses on learning how to understand and solve
problem.
