ANYCONNECT VPN
Goodyear will require all users of the remote Partner Portal AnyConnect VPN to utilize Multi-Factor Authentication
(MFA) as an added measure of security prior to gaining access.
MFA is often referred to as a two-step verification security measure where the user provides two authentication
methods to verify that they are who they say they are. This extra layer of protection can help prevent unauthorized
access into Goodyear’s network.
After the Start Date, any user that currently has MFA configured (e.g. already uses MFA for My365, SharePoint, SAP,
etc.) will need to authenticate when connecting to the Partner Portal AnyConnect VPN. Before the Required Date, all
users must configure MFA to connect to the AnyConnect VPN.
AnyConnect users must follow these steps to activate MFA and select an authentication method to securely gain
access through the AnyConnect VPN by the required date. Printing these instructions is recommended:
3. Access Goodyear’s Self Service Portal site at: https://sts.goodyear.com/mfa . Use your current GOpass ID
and GOpass password to gain access. Confirm your language upon log-in.
7. You will then be prompted on your mobile phone to enter the PIN you created above and click Approve.
8. Next, select and Answer Security Questions. Choose questions and answers carefully, as they will be one
of the options you can use later in the verification process. Click “Continue” at the bottom of the screen to
be fully signed into the Self-Service Portal.
9. You are now ready to connect to the Partner Portal AnyConnect VPN using MFA.
TO CONNECT TO PARTNER PORTAL
1. Open the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client from the system tray or from the Windows Start Menu
2. Select partnerportal.<your region>.goodyear.com, then Connect.
3. When prompted, enter your GOpass password (Your userid should be pre-filled if you have a valid Goodyear
certificate installed.)
4. On your mobile device, you will be notified that you have received a sign in verification request. Open the
Microsoft Authenticator App, enter your 4-digit PIN and approve the sign in using the biometric option
(fingerprint or facial recognition) already set up on your device.
1. Log back into https://sts.goodyear.com /MFA using your GOpass ID and GOpass password to gain access.
2. In the Goodyear MFA user portal, go to “My Account” and select “Change Method”. From the dropdown
selection of methods, choose “OATH Token”. Be sure to ”Save” after selecting this new method. Now when
prompted to authenticate, you will be required to type a 6-digit OATH token security code.
3. Follow the steps above to login to the Partner Portal, and after you enter your credentials into the AnyConnect
Client, you should see the following pop-up dialog box.
4. Open the Microsoft Authenticator App on your device and enter the 6-digit OATH code. (Spaces are not
required.) This code is re-generated every 30 seconds within the App.
Note: Although required to type in the 6-digit security code, the Microsoft Authenticator App will not utilize
data, incur roaming charges, or require Wi-Fi. If you have multiple accounts defined in the Authenticator App,
be sure to select your Goodyear GOpass ID to authenticate for Partner Portal.
