BOARD RESOLUTION 050

WHEREAS, the MARIVELES WATERSHED FARMER’S ASSOCIATION (MAWAFAS) INC. is a

People’s Organization composed of more or less 400 members of farmers in Mariveles, Bataan under the
Community Based Forest Management Association (CBFMA) which is mandated to protect 2000
hectares of government land in the community.
WHEREAS, the MAWAFAS Inc. held a meeting on September 23, 2021 at Sitio Lilimbin Barangay
Camaya, Mariveles, Bataan with the representatives from Provincial Engineering Office, Provincial
DPWH, Provincial Governor’s Office, and Contractor’s office.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the said meeting, it was agreed and unanimously approved by majority of the
Board of Directors to authorize the cutting of trees in the area protected by the MAWAFAS Inc. to give
way for the proposed project of Mariveles-Bagac Bypass Road only. The said project shall open great
opportunities to the community and to help improve the economy of Mariveles. This authorization shall
be subject to the monitoring of forest rangers of the association. Any cutting of trees not sanctioned by
MAWAFAS Inc. and beyond the said project shall not be allowed and will be subject for investigation
and legal action with the proper authorities.

THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that majority of the Board of Directors granted Board
Resolution 050.
