1. Write a 300 word essay explaining your stand on this claim: “Since we, humans, we have all the right to
control and manipulate the environment for human and economic development.”
 Humans does not have the right to control and manipulate the environment for human
and economic development. As society evolved, populations grew and more and more
resources were required to fuel the expansion. We, as a human should know that we have
the responsibility to preserve and protect the environment as we depend on the resources
and services it provides. For example, our forests remove carbon dioxide and other
pollutants from the air we breathe and also cool our air temperatures, reducing the
formation of ground-level ozone, a pollutant that can cause heart and lung problems to
worsen; our wetlands store storm water, filter and make harmless storm water pollutants,
and recharge our aquifers (where most of us get our drinking water) with these filtered
waters; and the dune systems on our beaches form natural barriers to storm waves and
provide important habitat and travel ways for wildlife. Our environment is what houses and
helps our ecosystem grow and thrive. Without protecting and taking care of our
environment we’re putting so many lives at danger such as animals, plants and crops, and
even our own. Environment plays an important role in the healthy living of human beings.
It matters because it is the only home that humans have ,and it provides air, food and other
needs. Humanity's entire life support system depends on the well -being of all the
environment factors. The environment gives us countless benefits that we can't repay our
entire life. As they are connected with the forest, trees, animals, water, and air. The forest
and trees filter the air and absorb harmful gases. Plants purify water, reduce the chances of
flood maintain natural balance and many others. Humans doesn’t have the rights to ruin
the environment since we all benefit from what the environment is giving to all living
things.
2. You observed that almost all people in your community are lacking in awareness on how to manage their
waste. There are no waste containers on the main streets, and people throw their waste into the river.
What will you do to make the people become aware of their responsibility to respect and take care of the
environment?
 To make the people become aware of their responsibility to respect and take care of the
environment , we can ask the person with a higher position in our community to make a
campaign that aims to make the people know how important is taking care of the
environment. We can also make the schools teach the student about taking care of the
environment by practicing in making a garden and having a tree planting in school.
3. Our ancestors were frugal and prudent towards the environment. Cite one Filipino Proverb or saying on
protecting the environment. Explain that in a 150 word essay.

“I really don’t see how the country will move forward and realize its potential if we don’t commit to the
nurturance of these resources.” By the late Gina Lopez. Regina Paz Lopez, Gina Lopez to most, was an
industrialist’s daughter who could’ve chosen to live her entire life in privilege. She eschewed that path and
instead became a yoga missionary at the age of 18, “living as the poor lived” and serving in Portugal, India
and Africa. Upon her return, she headed the charitable arm of the family conglomerate, ABS-CBN
Foundation, and helmed pioneering programs such as Bantay Bata 163. Ms. Lopez’s unwavering faith in the
country coupled with her ebullient nature encouraged a lot of Filipinos to spread kindness and do their share
in caring for mother earth. In the quote above, Ms Lopez meant that the country will not move forward if we,
the people will not take care and protect the resources that can help our country to move forward and to
improve.

1. Do you agree with the statement, “Ang basurang itinapon mo ay babalik sa’yo” or not? Explain your
answers in a 150 word essay.
 For me, I agree to the statement “Ang basurang itinapon mo ay babalik sa’yo”. This means
that the garbage that you've thrown goes back to you. Garbage pollution is a major problem
here in the Philippines, as well as in other third world countries. Most of the time this
garbages ends up in the oceans causing pollution and eventually killing the corals, ocean
creatures, etc. Filipinos lack disciplined when it comes to this matter. It's true that the
government have part on this problem. They should be responsible for creating a good
garbage system or flood system, but the major part goes to every individual to be
responsible for their own trash. People should not throw garbage on the roads, corners,
empty spaces or rather wherever they find a place. We should all learn to throw our trash
properly to lessen the garbage pollution. Let's all work together to save the environment.
1. As you are walking around your community, you observe that there are many young people throwing
garbage along the road, you are convinced that this practice of these young people would have a
negative result on the environment. As a youth who is aware of your responsibility towards the
environment, what would you do to help stop each practice of the young today? Elaborate your
answers. Minimum of 100 words.
 To make the people become aware of their responsibility to respect and take care of the
environment , we can ask the person with a higher position in our community to make a
campaign that aims to make the people know how important is taking care of the
environment. We can do a cleaning program so that the people will see that what we are
doing is important. We can also ask the higher ups to must let the people create a trash can
where they can throw their garbage but we also need to make sure that they will practice the
proper segregation.
