Muhammad Ali Jinnah stated his two-nation thesis in an important speech in Lahore in 1940.

As

a result, Muslims were granted their own nation, East Pakistan, in 1947. However, on March 21,

1948, Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared Urdu to be Pakistan's national language. I do not believe

that the decision to make Urdu the single state language of Pakistan was made because the majority

of the people spoke Bengali at the time and the Pakistani government designated Urdu as a state

language based on immoral principles. They did so in order to establish their control over the

populace.

The Bengali Language Movement was crucial in educating Bangladeshi citizens about

nationalism. On February 21, 1952, students from Dhaka University and several political activists,

as well as the public of Bangladesh, staged a protest to safeguard their mother tongue, but the

police opened fire. For the sake of our mother tongue, many students and ordinary people have

given their lives. In 1956, the central government authorized and designated Bengali as a state

language, ending years of dispute. Because of this big movement, the people of Bangladesh

realized one thing: there is no way to attain their rights without activity. In reality, prejudice was

evident in every area. East Pakistanis made up more than half of the population, yet they lacked

funding for development initiatives, education, and communication. The Pakistani government

made the most of its money in East Pakistan, yet it spent the least here. Each part's GDP ratio was

varied. Every economic year, the per capita income of the people of West Pakistan climbed,

whereas the per capita income of the people of East Pakistan decreased. Bangladeshi people were

severely ignored in every employment field, notably in defense, and their literacy rates were

drastically different in both sections.
