C. URAIAN MATERI
SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
1. We use the present simple:
a. To talk about activities that repeat regularly ( routines, habits )
- Peter goes to work by motorcycle.
- I learn English
- My father drinks coffee every morning.
b. To talk about permanent situatuons and states.
- I have two cats and a monkey.
- We like animals.
c. To talk about general truths.
- The sun rises in the east sets in the west.
- If you mix yellow and blue, you get green.
- The earth is round.
d. To talk about future official events or timetables which we cannot change
- The train leaves at 6.25 a.m.
- The lessons start at 8 a.m
e. We often use the following time adverbials with the present simple
- Always, usually, regularly, every morning/night/evening/afternoon, often,
sometimes, occasionally, from time to time, twice a week, rarely, seldom, once a
month, hardly ever, never.
f. Always, usually, regulary, rarely, seldom, often,occasionally, hardly ever, never.
Appear between the subjectand the verb:
- I always walk to school
- He regularly swims and plays tennis.
- Some people never tell truth.
g. Other adverbials usually appear at the end or at the beginning of the sentence:
- I have a hair cut once a month.
- From time to time my family go for a picnic in the forest.
h. We use questions with how often . . . ?
To ask about the frequency of something happening:
- How often do you go swimming? Once a week
- How often does the manager go away? Twice a month
- How often does she watch television? Every evening
2. READ THE BELOW PARAGRAPH
Nancy and James are good friends. They speak good German. Nancy works in a
restaurant downtown and James is a librarian. The children play in the garden every weekend.
James and Nancy visit church together every Friday.
D. AKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN
Setelah pemaparan materi, selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan menyelesaikan latihan soal dan penugasan.
Setelah peserta didik memahami tujuan materi, peserta didik diharapkan dapat membuat teks sesuai
dengan materi yang dimana diakhir materi terdapat latihan soal/tugas. Masing-masing peserta didik
wajib untuk mengerjakan latihan soal/tugas.

Jika peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi dan mengerjakan latihan soal/tugas.
Peserta didik dapat melakukan pertanyaan ketika pembelajaran daring kepada guru untuk
meningkatkan pemahaman materi dan penyelesaian latihan soal/tugas.
E. LATIHAN SOAL/ TUGAS
1. Present simple for a present state and regular activity:
a. We is/ are happy.
b. My brother don’t like/doesn’t like school.
c. Is/are business executive’s life stressful?
d. Do/does Sinta go market?
e. Doni play/plays the guitar.
2. Make 2 verbal sentences and 2 nominal sentences with present simple!

Skor maksimal yang didapatkan adalah 100. Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) untuk modul 71.
Peserta didik dapat melanjutkan ke modul berikutnya jika telah mencapai skor 71 atau lebih. Apabila
skornya kurang dari 72 peseta didik mengulang untuk mempelajari modul ini.

Peserta didik diharapkan lebih giat dalam membaca materi dan mengerjakan tugas-tugas dengan
baik. Peserta didik juga diharapkan aktif bertanya dan memahami materi dan tugas.
