Guidelines for Candidates / Parents

Appearing for CBSE Term 1 SSE/SSSCE 2021-22

Instructions for the Candidates by CBSE


 Candidates are permitted to carry following items:-
 All candidates will carry pocket hand sanitizer (50ml.) in transparent bottle.
 Mask to cover the face
 Hand gloves only on hands
 Transparent water bottle for their personal use
 Admit Card, School Identity Card
 Candidates will cover their nose and mouth with mask.
 Candidates will follow social distancing norms strictly.
 Candidates will carry their own drinking water.
 Candidates will not exchange or loan articles.
 Candidates will use safe mode of transportation for coming to the examination centre
and returning back home.
 Candidates will follow all instructions displayed in school and communicated to them.
 Candidates should try to avoid contact with unknown persons.
 Candidates will throw used tissue/ face mask into closed bins immediately after use.
 Candidates will maintain good hygiene in toilets during and after use.
 Candidates should not touch eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
 Candidates will not shake hands or hug at any cost while greeting.
 Candidates will refrain themselves from spitting in public places.
 Candidates will seek advice on COVID from their parents while coming to appear for the
examination.

Instructions for PWD Candidates by CBSE


 In case, scribe is allowed, both the candidate and scribe will wear face mask and hand
gloves.
 All items used by the PWD candidate will be sanitised.
 A separate examination room be allotted for examination for such candidates.

Instructions for Parents by CBSE


 They should ensure that their ward is carrying pocket hand sanitizer in transparent
bottle, hand gloves, transparent drinking water bottle and only other permissible
stationary items only while going to the examination centre.
 They should ensure that their ward has covered nose and mouth with face mask.
 They should guide their ward to follow social distancing norms strictly.

 They should instruct their ward not to exchange or loan articles.
 They should ensure that their ward uses safe mode of transportation for going to the
examination centre and returning back home.
 They should instruct their ward to follow all instructions displayed in school and
communicated to them.
 In case their ward is not feeling well, they should consult the doctor and act as per the
advice given by him.
 They should instruct their ward to avoid contact with unknown persons.
 They should instruct their ward to throw used tissue/ face mask into closed bins
immediately after use.
 They should guide their ward on the other important guidelines issued by Government
of India to avoid spreading of COVID-19 and to protect themselves.
 All stakeholders will follow other guidelines issued by Government of India from time to
time

Examination Timing
Entry to Examination Centre - 09:45 am to 10:45 am

Entry to the Examination Hall/Room - 10:30 am to 10:45 am

Last Entry in the Examination Centre - 10:45 am

Checking Admit Cards by Asst. Supdt.s and ensure that the


candidates have occupied the correct seats and not in
possession of any barred items - 10:45 am to 11:00 am

Opening of packets of Question Paper in the Examination


room and distribution of OMR/Question Papers - 11:00 am to 11:10 am

Reading Time - 11:10 am to 11:30 am

Exam Commences - 11:30 am

Closing of Exam Room Doors - 12:50 pm

Collection of OMRs from the Candidates - 01:00 pm

Examination Ends - 01:00 pm

Additional time will be granted to LD/PWD candidates as per CBSE order @ 20 minutes per 1
Hour on question paper.

Following are examples of marking responses in the OMR sheets and how it will be evaluated.

IMPORTANT:
If the Students are instructed to attempt 45 questions out of 50 in some subjects and all 50
responses has been marked/responded by the candidate without darkening 5 questions in the
circle given under the mark (#) which is meant for question not attempted, only first 45
questions will be evaluated. The last 5 questions will be considered as not attempted questions.
In NO CIRCUMSTANCES best of 45 will be evaluated.

No candidate shall be allowed to appear at an examination centre to which he has not been
allotted unless specific written prior permission by the Regional Officer has been granted.
No candidate should be allowed to leave the examination centre before the exam is over.
Smoking & using of any intoxicants, taking tea, refreshment etc. by the candidate in the
Examination Hall/ Room is not permitted. (Exemption to take light refreshments during the course of
examination is granted to diabetic candidates with permission from RO)

Loaning or interchanging of articles by the candidates or communicating with each other in any
form by the candidates in the Examination Hall/ Room during the exam is not permitted.

Barred Items in the examination room/hall


Following are the barred items in the examinations:-
(a) Any stationery item – such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers,
Calculator (Candidates with Learning Disability i.e. Dyscalculia are permitted to use
Calculator as per Circular No. CBSE/COORD/2020 dated 20.1.2020), Pen Drives,
Calculator, Log Table (shall be provided by the centres), Electronic Pen/ Scanner, etc.
(b) Any communication device – such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones,
Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Camera, etc.
(c) Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, pouches, etc.
(d) Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic candidates
(e) Any other item which could be used for unfair means
