In Vietnam, annually, in November, there is a celebration for teachers, which is
Vietnamese Teachers' Day taking place on November 20th.
Purpose: To express our gratitude to our teachers, our group are going to host Before this ceremony, Hoang Le Kha High School for the Gifted holds a drawing contest on the black board in each classroom. The contest starts from 5/11 to 12/11, so students have one week to express so pecial feelings and gratitude to their teachers. The whole class will work together to design a commemorative corner on 1/3 of the board. On that part, everyone will together use colored chalk to draw and write two-verse poems expressing their respect and appreciation for what the teachers have devoted to their teaching career. Since this is a group competition, any members of the class can participate in. The judges are teachers from the school union, and students' parents are the sponsors. There will be 4 prizes for the contest: 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 2 encouraging prizes. The maximum scoring is 30 including 5 scores for class titles and concept adherence, 10 scores for the most meaningful poem messages for homeroom teachers, 10 scores for decoration and layout, 5 scores for creativity. It is important to keep it intact until November 20th. When participating in this contest, students can both express their gratitude to their teachers. Besides, all class members can practice teamwork skills and enhance the solidarity of the class. More importantly, students can improve design skills and those who are passionate about painting and drawing to cultivate their skills.
