PEH WEEK 7

Safety Protocol During MVPA’s

In all types of activities, injury is undeniably
expected
The most significant consideration would be the
safety measures, thus it is expected that we will
follow the safety protocols set by the organizer.
“DO NOT WAIT TO BE THIRSTY BEFORE
DRINKING WATER BECAUSE THIRST IS THE
PRIMARY INDICATOR DEHYDRATION.”
Outdoor Activity Participation
 Ensuring the safe and enjoyable
experience there are guidelines to be OVEREXERTION

DEPENDING ON THE EXPOSURE.
 PEOPLE EXPOSED TO A CERTAIN KIND OF
ENVIRONMENT CAN DO BETTER IN SUCH
CONDITION AS COMPARED TO WHEN
YOU ASK TO PERFORM IN AN
ENVIRONMENT NEW TO THEM.
 REMEMEBER THE TRAINING PRINCIPLES.
HYPERTHERMIA
- IT IS THE INCREASE OF TEMPERATURE OF
DEHYDRATION THE BODY WHICH OCCURS WHEN YOU
ARE EXPOSED TO EXCESSIVELY HIGH
- THIS EXCESSIVE LOSS OF FLUID IN THE BODY
TEMPEARTURE AND HUMIDITY.
AND THIRST IS THE PRIMARY INDICATOR.
- EXCERSIING IN HOT AND HUMID
-THE WORST THAT HAS TO HAPPEN WHEN A CONDITION CAUSES THE BODY TO
PERSON IS IN GROSS WITH HIS PARTICIPATION. INCREASE TEMPERATURE
- WHEN YOUR BODY TEMPERATURE STAY

DEATH.
HYPERTHERMIA MAY THEN OCCUR.

EXTREME COLD CONDITION CAN RESULT TO :
• Heat Exhaustion
 HYPOTHERMIA
CAUSED BY EXCESSIVE HEAT EXPOSURE WHICH - THE RAPID COOLING OF THE BODY
IS CHARACTERIZED BY PALENESS, SWEATY SKIN, WHEREIN TEMPERATURE DROPS
TIREDNESS, DIZZINESS, MUSCLE CRAMPS AND QUICKLY

AND CAN LEAD TO VOMITING AND -IT IS SERIOUS AND NECESSITATES
UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING IMMEDIATES MEDICAL HEALTH

-IT OCCURS BECAUSE THE BODY CANNOT KEEP -IN CERTAIN CASES THE AFFECTED AREA
THE TEMPERATURE DOWN OFTEN HAVE TO BE AMPUTATED
-IT CAN LEAD TO DEATH AND NECESSITATES
UGENT MEDICAL CONDITION. SYMPTOMS:
 DISCOLORATION OF SKIN TO WHITE OR
GREYISH YELLOW
HOW TO AVOID HYPERTHERMIA  PAIN THAT WILL EVENTUALLY SUBSIDE
AND EVENTUAL NUMBNESS
• Start Slowly
-THAT PERSON USUALLY FEEL NO PAIN MAKING
• Hydrate Properly THE CONDITION MORE DANGEROUS.
• Use Appropriate Clothing
• Rest Periodically
• Avoid Extreme Heat/Humidity
• Heat Injury – Do First Aid WARNING SIGS OF HYPOTHERMIA

Helpful Solutions  Sleepiness
