1. Do you like to watch the sky?
Yes, I have to say I am a fan of watching the sky. To me, the sky is a magnificent work of art
and I really appreciate the aesthetic qualities of it. The color, the clouds… are just so beautiful.

Vâng, tôi phải nói rằng tôi là người thích ngắm bầu trời. Với tôi, bầu trời là một tác phẩm

đẹp.
2. What is the sky like at night in your hometown?
The night sky where I live is simply a picturesque view. As I live in the countryside, the sky is
not affected by light pollution, so there are numerous shining stars in a broad blackish
background.

3. Do you like to watch stars?
I find star-watching extremely interesting. I believe that every star in the cosmos has its own
function and holds a unique mystery to be discovered. I feel really full of energy while
watching stars.

Tôi thấy việc ngắm sao cực kỳ thú vị. Tôi tin rằng mọi ngôi sao trong vũ trụ đều có chức năng
riêng và giữ một bí ẩn riêng cần được khám phá. Tôi cảm thấy thực sự tràn đầy năng lượng

4. Have you ever taken a course about stars?

I haven’t ever enrolled in such courses, but I would love to in the future. I have always wanted
to know how the stars can shine in the sky deeply.

5. What’s your favorite star?
The Sun is my favorite star, I would say. This is because of its power and importance to life. If
we could find a star similar to the Sun out there in space, we would be able to discover alien
life forms and complete our quest for a new habitat.

Mặt trời là ngôi sao yêu thích của tôi, tôi sẽ nói vậy. Điều này là do sức mạnh và tầm quan

HANDWRITING
1. Do you often write something by hand?
Personally, I rarely write something by hand. Currently, with the growing popularity of the
Internet and other digital devices such as smartphones or computers, handwriting is not as
popular as it used to be in the past. In fact, I just hand write a letter to my sweetheart, my
parents and my friends on some special occasions, which take place once in a year.

Cá nhân thì tôi hiếm khi viết một cái gì đó bằng tay. Hiện nay, với sự phổ biến ngày càng tăng
của Internet và các thiết bị kỹ thuật số khác như điện thoại thông minh hoặc máy tính, chữ
viết tay không phổ biến như trước đây. Trong thực tế, tôi chỉ viết một lá thư cho người yêu
của tôi, cha mẹ và bạn bè của tôi vào một số dịp đặc biệt, một lần trong một năm.

2. Do you prefer to write by hand or on a computer?
It depends on what I’m doing. I prefer the computer for most things because it’s faster and
you can save or copy things, but I still like making notes or writing ideas down by hand.

Nó phụ thuộc vào những gì tôi đang làm. Tôi thích máy tính vì hầu hết mọi thứ vì nó nhanh

tưởng bằng tay.
3. Do you think emails can replace handwriting?
In my opinion, there is a little chance that handwritten letters are replaced by emails. It is
true that the technological revolution has led handwriting to become less popular than ever.
However, I think it is still irreplaceable in our daily life because it is capable of conveying more
meaningful messages than just typewriting. As each person has their own writing style and
has to put effort into writing manually, their handwriting not only demonstrates their identity
but also shows their sentiment in the text. Therefore, it may be impossible for the emails to
replace handwriting.

Theo tôi, có rất ít cơ hội để thư viết tay sẽ bị thay thế bằng email. Đúng là cuộc cách mạng
công nghệ đã khiến cho chữ viết tay trở nên ít phổ biến hơn bao giờ hết. Tuy nhiên, tôi nghĩ
rằng nó vẫn không thể thay thế trong cuộc sống hàng ngày của chúng tôi bởi vì nó có khả
năng truyền tải nhiều thông điệp có ý nghĩa hơn là chỉ đánh máy. Vì mỗi người có phong cách
viết riêng và họ phải nỗ lực để viết tay, chữ viết tay của họ không chỉ thể hiện bản sắc của họ
mà còn thể hiện tình cảm của họ. Do đó, email không thể thay thế chữ viết tay.

4. What are the differences between handwriting and emails?
Obviously, handwriting and emails are quite different from each other. In terms of speed,
hand-written letters take more time to complete than writing emails. Regarding purposes,
handwritten letters tend to convey more emotions and are more personal than emails.

Rõ ràng, viết tay và email khá khác nhau. Về mặt tốc độ, các văn bản viết tay mất nhiều thời

COLOUR
1. What color do you like?
Although some people may consider pink as girly, I still like it a lot. The colour of pink
symbolizes caring, compassion, unconditional love and charm. When I go shopping, I usually
pick the clothes that are in pink.

2. Why do you like this particular color?
Actually, I should like a particular colour in order to make the task of choosing my outfit
easier. Moreover, sometimes my personality can be demonstrated through colours, so having
one favorite colour can be a good way of helping other people know more about me.

Thực ra thì tôi nên thích một màu sắc cụ thể nào đó để khiến công việc lựa chọn quần áo của

3. Do you like the color red? Why/ why not?
I am really into red, because it displays a lot of power and represents passionate love. I think
it is very romantic when a guy gives me a red rose, and I will stand out of the crowd if I put
on a red outfit.

Tôi thật sự thích màu đỏ, bởi nó đại diện cho sức mạnh, tình yêu cuồng nhiệt. Và tôi nghĩ sẽ
rất là lãng mạn khi một người nào đó tặng tôi một bông hồng đỏ, và tôi sẽ nổi bật khỏi đám
đông nếu như mặc trên mình bộ đồ đỏ.
4. Do you usually wear clothes in your favorite color?
I have my favorite colour but it doesn’t mean that I will put on the clothes in that colour
everyday. But on some special occasions, I think dressing in the colour I love can boost my
mood and make me more confident.
Tôi có một màu mà mình yêu thích, nhưng nó không có nghĩa là tôi sẽ mặc quần áo với màu
sắc đó mỗi ngày. Nhưng vào một vài dịp đặc biệt, tôi nghĩ mặc áo quần với màu sắc mà tôi
yêu thích có thể làm tâm trạng tôi khá hơn và khiến tôi tự tin hơn.
5. Are there any colors that have special meaning in your country?
I think brown is a very special colour in Vietnamese culture. As you may know, Vietnam still
heavily depends on agriculture, and brown represents the colour of soil and also represents
the hardships that Vietnamese farmers have to endure.

Tôi nghĩ màu nâu là một màu rất đặc biệt trong văn hóa của người Việt Nam. Như bạn đã
biết, Việt Nam vẫn còn phụ thuộc rất nhiều vào nông nghiệp, và màu nâu đại diện cho màu
đất, cho những khó nhọc của người nông dân Việt Nam đang phải chịu đựng.
6. Are colors important to you?
Well, yes, of course. I need to care about colours when choosing suitable clothes, shoes or
hats. Colour plays a crucial role in fashion, doesn’t it? Also, in Vietnamese culture, the lunar
year when each person was born is attached to one colour, and this colour is supposed to
give this person luck and health. Therefore, when Vietnamese people paint their house or
buy a new motorbike, rather than picking up their favorite colour, they traditionally will
consider which colour is suitable for their age.

Có chứ, tất nhiên rồi. tôi cần phải quan tâm đến màu sắc khi lựa chọn áo quần phù hợp, giày
dép hay mũ nón. Màu sắc đóng vai trò quan trọng trong thời trang, không phải sao? Hơn nữa,
trong văn hóa người Việt, năm âm lịch mà mỗi người được sinh ra gắn liền với một màu, và
màu này được cho rằng sẽ đem đến cho người này may mắn và khỏe mạnh. Vì vậy, khi người
Việt sơn nhà của họ hay mua xe máy mới, thay vì chọn màu sắc mà họ thích, họ sẽ chọn màu
sắc nào phù hợp với tuổi của họ.
DAILY ROUTINES
1. When do you wake up?
Well, I’m a morning riser and I wake up at about 5 o’clock. Getting up early not only makes
me feel refreshed and productive but it also prevents my skin from having wrinkles.

Tôi là một người hay dậy sớm và tôi thường thức dậy lúc 5 giờ sáng. Thức dậy sớm không

2. Which time do you like most in a day?

Personally I enjoy late nights when I come home from work and everything is filled with dim
gray light. To me, it’s a great time to kick back on the bed to have a chit-chat with my
roommates, surf the Internet, listen to music, or watch a favorite movie.

3. What’s your daily routine?

Well, in the morning, I get up early to have a light breakfast and hit the gym at about 8 a.m.
After one hour of workout, I leave the gym club and go to the supermarket to buy food to

make lunch and dinner. In the afternoon and evening, I go to my workplace and start working
from 14.00.pm until 21.00.p.m.

giờ tối.
4. Do you think it is important to have a daily routine?

Yes, it definitely is. A proper daily routine will help you arrange your activities in the most
sensible way. Without a daily routine, people usually do things spontaneously, which could
waste their time and reduce their work efficiency. I think those who are disorganized can gain
more benefits from creating a daily routine.

người sẽ làm mọi thứ một cách ngẫu nhiên, cái này sẽ có thể làm tốn thời gian của họ và giảm
năng suất làm việc. Tôi nghĩ rằng những người thiếu tổ chức sẽ nhận được nhiều lợi ích từ
việc tạo ra một thói quen hàng ngày của mình.
5. What’s the difference of routine between you and your teenager’s times?
Well, I can say that there’s a huge difference between my life back then and my present life.
You know, when I was a teenager, besides focusing on study, I had a lot of free time to pursue
my interests like watching films or listening to music. As opposed to my life now, my routine
and time management has become stricter. Since I graduated from the university and began
working as an English teacher, I’m so occupied with my work that I have little leisure time for
my pastimes.

Tôi có thể nói rằng có một sự khác biệt lớn giữa cuộc sống của tôi lúc trước và cuộc sống của

tôi có rất nhiều thời gian rảnh rỗi để theo đuổi sở thích của tôi như xem phim, nghe nhạc.
Khác hẳn với cuộc sống của tôi bây giờ, thói quen và sự quản lý thời gian của tôi đã trở nên
chặt chẽ hơn. Kể từ khi tốt nghiệp khỏi trường đại học và bắt đầu đi làm là một giáo viên
Tiếng Anh, tôi rất bận với công việc của mình tới mức tôi có rất ít thời gian rảnh rỗi cho các
hoạt động giải trí.
SHOES
1.Do you prefer to wear comfortable shoes or beautiful shoes?
To me, comfort is definitely the number one priority, so I would much prefer comfortable
shoes. But that's not to say I don't care at all about how they look. Imean, I don't wanna go
around with hideous shoes. You know, that would be pretty embarrassing. But as long as
they're so-so looking, then that's good enough for me

tôi rồi.
2.What kind of shoes do you usually wear?
I mostly wear flat shoes rather than high heeled shoes because they give me a sense of
comfort. I also go for sport shoes made from famous brands like Bitis Hunter, Sneakers,
Converse….

3. Do you think the type of shoes someone wears reflects their character?
Yes, I do. People say that first impressions are important and I think that going for shoes too.
If you see a person wearing a worn out pair of shoes, it gives you the impression that they
are sloppy. On the other hand, if you see someone wearing brand name pairs of shoes that
cost a fortune,you know that the person has plenty of money to spend.

ấn tượng cho bạn là họ là người luộm thuộm. Ngược lại, nếu bạn nhìn thấy một người đi một
đôi giày hàng hiệu đắt tiền, bạn biết rằng người đó có rất nhiều tiền.
4. Do you like shopping for shoes? (Why/Why not?)
I’m a big fan of shoes and often spend hours looking for stuff in physical stores and bargain
with the owner to get the best deals. Shoes for me are a perfect piece of ornament, making
me stand out from the crowd, and for that purpose, I tend to opt for stylish shoes from big
brands like Adidas

5.Have you ever bought shoes online?
I’ve bought a pair of Bitis Hunter sport shoes on the Lazada online shop, but I’m more keen
on going shopping directly in the stores with my friends because I can get a chance to see
different kinds of shoes and bargain for the most reasonable price.

1. Are there many advertisements in your country?
Definitely, there are. They appear all over the place from the streets to social media with a
high density. For example, there are a multitude of colorful flyers stuck on the street walls in
Vietnam.

2. Why do you think there are so many advertisements now?
I guess it’s due to the benefits of the companies. First, advertisements are the easiest way to
reach the customers to attract their attention to a particular brand or product. From that
attractive information, customers will be able to choose an appropriate one. Second, it also
plays a crucial role in marketing strategy that the company apply to attract customers.

Tôi đoán đó là do mặt lợi cho các công ty. Đầu tiên, quảng cáo là cách dễ nhất để tiếp cận
khách hàng rồi thu hút sự chú ý của họ tới một nhãn hiệu hay một sản phẩm nào đó. Từ những
thông tin hấp dẫn họ nhận được, khách hàng sẽ có thể lựa chọn sản phẩm thích hợp. Thứ 2

3. What are the various places where we see advertisements?
Advertising is here, there, and everywhere. It gets to people through different types of
communication such as flyers and banners on the streets or printed ones on newspapers,
magazines or electronic ones on social media. It could be written, verbal or a short movie.

Quảng cáo có mặt khắp mọi nơi. Mọi người bắt gặp quảng cáo qua rất nhiều hình thức khác

4. How do you feel about advertisements?
Sometimes, I find it a little bit disappointing because the quality products are usually
overrated. However, there are other beneficial advertisements in supermarkets which have
informative content for customers such as on which days there will be promotions or which
new products will be launched.

SCIENCE
1. Do you like science?
To be honest, when I was a little girl, I had a passion for science and nurtured a dream To
become a female scientist in the future but when I grew up, I came to the realization that I’m
not a great one for science. That’s the reason why my love for science fades.

khoa học. Đó là lý do vì sao mà tình yêu của tôi dành cho khoa học mờ nhạt đi.
2. What science have you studied?
At the beginning of high school, I started to learn Physics .And I was immediately attracted to
such a great subject. I can say that It has helped me to explain some things in life and build
my logical thinking.

I study at school. the lesson basically involves both theoretical and practical parts. We study
Physics theory in class and then spend time doing some experiments.

5. How has the science that you have studied helped you?
I find science tremendously useful. Because it enables me to understand how the universe
works as well as unlocks most of the mysteries of life. I started to know how to explain some
common phenomena, such as why there are storms and why we always see lightning before
we hear the thunder’s sound.

1. What’s the weather like where you live?
Well, I was born and grew up in a tropical country, so it’s pretty much hot and humid year
round. However, in Northern cities, we actually enjoy four distinct seasons. In summer
months, it can get really sweltering, and by contrast, temperatures can really dip in winter.

2. What type of weather do you like best?
I’d consider myself a cold weather person. I love the crisp mornings at the end of fall and the
chill of winter. Maybe it’s because we have to bundle up as the weather turns cold, and I love
wearing sweaters and overcoats.

3. Does the weather ever affect what you do?
You know, I gotta say yes, especially when it rains. I mean, I cannot go out and run my errands
if it’s pouring outside. The roads get really slippery, so it’s quite dangerous to drive. Besides,
you will definitely be soaked if you do decide to go out.

trời mưa cả. Đường phố thì trơn trượt và rất nguy hiểm khi lái xe và tôi chắc chắn sẽ ướt như
chuột nếu tôi quyết định đi ra ngoài.
4. Does it rain a lot in your hometown?
Well, it depends on the season. In winter and spring, there is a dearth of rain associated with
the arid weather. In contrast, it is usually raining cats and dogs in summer and august, causing
loads of troubles for people travelling on the road.

5. Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown?
Yeah, of course. Traffic is often held up when it rains. All the roads are clogged, and people
find it difficult to escape from traffic congestion. I would stay at home and watch TV rather
than going out and being caught up in traffic.

Đương nhiên rồi. Giao thông trở nên tắc nghẽn khi trời mưa. Các con đường tắc kín và mọi
người khó có thể thoát ra khỏi tình trạng tắc nghẽn giao thông. Tôi phải ở nhà và xem tivi còn
hơn là ra ngoài đường và bị tắc kẹt trong làn giao thông.
PARKS/GARDEN
1. Do you like going to parks?
On the whole, I am keen on going to the park with my close friends since I really want to get
close to nature and enjoy the fresh air. In addition, as the park is tranquil, it’s a great place
for me to spend my quality time having chit-chat with my friends

2. When was the last time you went to a park?
To the best of my recollection, it must have been a few months ago. I went for a walk in the
park with my boyfriend when we were full after eating out at the restaurant. It was breezy
that night and it really put our foot up.

3. Do you think the parks where you live could be improved in any way?
To be honest, I think more facilities such as slides, wings or playgrounds should be added
quite a bit in the park. Because there’s not really that much to do in the park, so sometimes
it’s getting quite tedious to pay frequent visits to the park. Furthermore, more leisure
activities should also be provided for everyone to join and gain valuable experiences.

ngày càng buồn tẻ khi đi tới công viên thường xuyên. Thêm vào đó, những hoạt động giải trí
nên cung cấp với mọi người để tham gia vào và có được những trải nghiệm quý báu.
4.Would you like to see more parks and gardens in your hometown?
Yeah, definitely. There is just one park in my hometown, so I want to see more modern and
complicated parks near my house so that I can go there to wind down and get away from the
stressful working life.

5. Do you prefer to relax with your friends in a park or an indoor place?
It depends on my emotion. If I’m in a good mood, I would certainly spare time hanging out
with my friends in the park. However, if I’m sick and tired of studying and working, I’d rather
stay at home and take a nap to recover my energy.

FESTIVAL
1. What is your favourite festival?
I am really into some traditional festivals in Vietnam such as the Lunar New Year or
Independence day or others which are on the tip of my tongue. These occasions remind me
of the good old days and are great chances for family reunions. Unfortunately, there are only
a few days like these each year.

2. How do you celebrate the festival?
My conventional way is to come back home and organize some activities or throw a party
with my family members. But now sometimes I feel like I am swept into the maelstrom of a
hectic life, so I usually take chances to travel and totally escape from the busy life.

3. What is the most popular Vietnamese festival?
I think the answer is Tet holiday, which marks the beginning of a new year. During this holiday,
people have some days off work and gather with their relatives. There are so many customs
still preserved these days. Children wear their new clothes and give their elders the
traditional Tết greetings and receive a red envelope containing money from their elders.
Families and friends come together to have a feast of traditional Vietnamese dishes, and
share the happiness and joy of the New Year with one another

4. Do you like Western festivals?
Yes, definitely. I have learned English for years and therefore somehow known about western
festivals such as Valentine days, Halloween days or even the Solar New Year. They are gaining
popularity among the young and I think it is good because we are living in a global village.
Therefore, knowing and celebrating some international festivals will help us globalise easier.

Vâng tôi đã học tiếng Anh từ rất lâu rồi nên cũng biết chút chút về một số ngày lễ của nước

càng phổ biến hơn với người trẻ và tôi nghĩ điều trên khá tốt vì chúng ta đang sống ở trong
một xã hội toàn cầu. Chính vì thế, tổ chức các lễ hội quốc tế càng làm chúng ta hòa nhập dễ
dàng hơn.
5. Where do people usually go during festivals?
They may pay visits to their relatives’ houses because on normal days, they are too occupied
with work and have no time to meet them. Some take a trip to tourist attractions where many
funny and entertaining activities are held. Others simply stay at home and sleep like a log to
recharge their batteries, specially on some short festivals.
