I.

Goals/Objectives

• Our vision is to establish standard face mask production business whose products will be not only be sold in
Vigan but available for shipping around the Philippines also.
• Our mission is to establish a standard and high quality face mask production brand that in our own capacity will
favorably compete with other businesses in the industry.
• We want to build a business that will be known as someone who provides a good customer service.
• Meet the clients expectations and provide a durable and high quality face masks that breaks the stylish barrier
against COVID-19.

II. Values/Principles

• We will be focusing on making the shipping of our products possible through finding a good shipment service.
• Practice high ethical standards that will make our business be viewed differently from the eyes of many.
• Meet the changing needs and desires of clients and consumers through ensuring the quality of the cloth that we will
be using and checking each face masks made for any damage.
• Respect and protect the environment through recycling the wastes as much as possible and make our product
eco-friendly.

III. SWOT Analysis

• STRENGTH:

• Our advantage is that the surgical face mask that we can buy from the pharmacies and supermarkets are in high
demand that's why people are going to look for other alternatives for it and this would help our business be seen.

• Protective equipments such as our product is something that many people are looking for especially in this time
of pandemic which will increase our sales.

• Since many people's focus now are on social media, it is a great time to promote our products through posting it.

• Expertise - Since I am now used to sewing and it has became my hobby, it is an advantage for us because making
a lot of face masks won't be a problem.

• Cheap Resources - In making the face masks, money won't be a problem because the cloth that we will be using
is recycled and the only thing that we will be buying is the thread for the sewing machine.

• WEAKNESS:

• A major weakness that may count against us is the fact that we are a new face mask production enterprise and
we don’t have the financial capacity to engage in the kind of publicity that we intend giving the business especially
when big companies are holding holding the grudge for us. It may take a lot of time and hardwork first to be seen.

• Too many competitors - as we all know there’s a lot of well-known businesses that sell face masks, making
competitions much more difficult.

• A common product - since then it has been a trend now so it’s hard to keep pace with others’ preference -
there’s a lot of preference and choices but others stick to those who are known.

• Pressure - For any business person, starting a small business from scratch is a big factor for us and It does bring a
lot of pressure which may lead to stress.

• Supply chain - Clothes that don't fit me anymore or old clothes from my family may not be enough if the orders
surprisingly go up.
• OPPORTUNITIES:

• The opportunities available for our face mask business are enormous. This is due to the fact that face
masks have been a subject of shortages and is in high demand everywhere.

• Online marketing - with social media being on the rise, with the help of platforms such as Lazada and
Shopee among others. Exposure is easier, and sales and services are not harmed in any way.

• Look into a partnership with startup brands. Starting a collaboration with other craft businesses would
be a great opportunity for us as a starting business.

• Style and design - New generation of consumers appreciate face masks that are fit in today's trends.
Children also hates wearing them but with our kiddy masks, they would love to wear it since their
favorite cartoon characters are printed.

• New - When we say new, we get the people's attention and all are eyes are on us because they will
want to try something new.

• THREATS:

• Emerging Competitors - with social media as an advertising platform, many small businesses are
having a hard time getting the exposure needed. As a staring business, small followers and low
engagements are a threat.

• Price wars with competitors - Sometimes, consumers eye out for the cheapest product they find
instead of its quality and durability.

• Competitors have superior access to channels of distribution - competitors who have access to
many channels of distribution are a threat because if that's the case, we will be having a hard time
finding a business that we could supply.

• If our business eventually gets bigger, I may not have the capacity to make all the face masks
needed which will affect our customer service.

• Competitors have employees that would make their process of manufacturing faster.

IV. Summary

Beyond producing quality face masks, our customer care is going to be second to none. We know that our
customers are the reason why we are in business which is why we will go the extra mile to get them satisfied
when they purchase our face masks. In future, we will also start the production of face shields and medical
goggles and other types of protective equipment often used together with face masks. We are also in business
to make profits and at the same to give our customers value for their money. Project Padayon will surely meet
what you are expecting for a high quality face mask that would break the stylish barrier of COVID-19.
