Scope and Delimitation

The main purpose of this study is to find out the sources and other
causes of widespread food waste in a community. The focus of this study
is to put an end of hunger in ASEAN communities and to reduce food waste
from larger communities to smaller ones. The general intent of this study
is to eradicate food waste to achieve zero-hunger in ASEAN community.

The main source of this study will be the analyzation of data through
research materials, journals and articles.

Definition of Terms

Food waste - refers to food that is fit for consumption but consciously
discarded at the retail or consumption phases.

Eradicate - to get rid of something completely or destroy something


bad.

Epidemic - affecting or tending to affect a disproportionately large


number of individuals within a population, community, or region at the
same time.

Malnutrition - a condition that results from lack of sufficient


nutrients in the body.

Wastages - the action or process of losing or destroying something


by using it carelessly or extravagantly.

Interventions - the action of becoming intentionally involved in a


difficult situation, in order to improve it or prevent it from getting
worse.

Spoilage - is waste or scrap arising from the production process.
