EDUCATION
Student Teaching
Grand Canyon University Nyquist Elementary School, MN / 2021
Bachelor’s Degree, This experience was a part of my education through Grand Canyon University.
Elementary Education I spent 15-17 weeks at Nyquist Elementary School in Isle, MN. My
2018-2021 cooperating teacher was Mrs. Stacy Borchert. I was student teaching in a 2 nd
grade classroom with 12 students.
Central Lakes College  I spent 2-4 weeks observing the classroom and slowly picking up
Associates Degree classroom responsibilities and lessons. Weeks 5-7 I picked up even
2016-2018 more responsibilities and lessons and at this point I was teaching
math, phonics, and some social studies. Weeks 7-14 I had 100% of
classroom responsibilities and taught all the lessons. Weeks 14-17 I
slowly gave back responsibilities and lessons to the cooperating
teacher.

Attention to Detail Each day would be different depending on what each grade was working on. I
Organization would speak to each teacher to find out what they were working on for the
Critical Thinking day and assist them anyway they found fit. I would spend 20-40 minutes in a
Public Speaking class and worked in 3-5 classrooms a day. School was 100% distance learning.
Problem Solving  Worked with a group of small students at a time in multiple subjects
Detail Oriented and multiple grades.
Personable  Graded papers, prepared projects and activities for Kindergarten, and
Positive Attitude read to and with students.
Teamwork  Worked with K-6th graders.
Leadership  Subjects included math, social studies, reading, language arts, and

I have been either head coach or assistant coach of various teams over the last
9 years. The grades I have coached include 2nd – 10th grade.
 Preparing practice plans, communicating with athletes and their
parents, and preparing game plans.
 Balanced school, work, and athletics while coaching.
 Taught athletes the responsibilities of being a student-athlete, being
respectful, a leader, being a good sport and a good teammate.

Technical Parkinson’s Boxing

I spent 50 hours volunteering for a boxing company that offered non-contact

Seth Stariha Memorial Youth Basketball Camp, WI / 2015
In 2014 a student a year younger than me passed away in an automobile
accident. This impacted the lives of many people in our community. In 2015, I
hosted a 1-day youth basketball camp with all proceeds going to the Seth
Stariha Memorial Scholarship.
 As camp director I coordinated facility requests, concessions, flyers,
camp t-shirts, camp itineraries, camp coaches and volunteers, and
advertising.
