MC1-Lab Anatomy & Physiology

Learning & Performance Task 1

I. Anatomical Position
OBJECTIVE 1: Describe the anatomical position verbally while by demonstrating it.
When doctors refer to specific areas of the human body, they do so relative to a standard
position called the anatomical position. In the anatomical position, the human body is erect,
with head and toes pointed forward and arms hanging at the sides with palms facing forward

II. Surface Anatomy & Regional Terms

OBJECTIVE 2 : Demonstrate ability to use anatomical terms describing body landmarks and
surfaces.

ACTIVITY 1.

Create an informative video, using a model (ask someone for your family members)
demonstrate the correct anatomical position, and point out regional terms of body surface.
Guidelines:
1. The video must not be more than 5 minutes, uncut.
2. No background noise.
3. Clarity, seriousness, and articulation conducting the video must be observed. You and
your model’s whole body must be seen in the video.
4. Deadline of this activity will be on September 15, 2021- 7am. Attach your file to the
designated submission bin in your Gclassroom.
5. For any questions and clarifications, message me through my messenger account.
Happy learning!

III. Body Orientation and Directional Terms

OBJECTIVE 3 : Demonstrate ability to use anatomical terms describing body orientation and
direction.
ACTIVITY 2.

Create a tiktok video, demonstrating the different directional terms mentioned above.

Guidelines:
1. Be creative, enjoy while doing the activity.
2. Clarity of actions should be emphasized.
3. Deadline of this activity will be on September 9, 2021- 10am. Attach your file to the
designated submission bin in your Gclassroom.
4. For any questions and clarifications, message me through my messenger account.
Happy learning!

IV. Body Planes

OBJECTIVE 4 : Demonstrate ability to use anatomical terms describing body planes.

Sagittal plane: A plane that runs lengthwise or longitudinally down the length of the body,
dividing it into right and left parts, is a sagittal plane. If it divides the body into equal parts,
down the midline of the body, it is called a median plane, or midsagittal plane.
Frontal (coronal) plane: A longitudinal plane that divides the body (or an organ) into anterior
and posterior parts.
Transverse plane: A plane that runs horizontally, dividing the body into superior and inferior
parts. These sections are also commonly called cross sections.
ACTIVITY 3.

Record yourself by conducting the activity. Demonstrate the different body planes using
any fruit at home. Draw a facial feature on one side to determine the frontage of your
model. Then, cut the fruit demonstrating and describing the different planes.

Guidelines:
1. Be creative, enjoy while doing the activity.
2. Emphasize clarity and articulation. Half of your body must be seen in the video.
3. Deadline of this activity will be today, September 8, 2021- 11am. Attach your file to
the designated submission bin in your Gclassroom.
4. For any questions and clarifications, message me through my messenger account.
Happy learning!

V. Ambominopelvic and Quadrant Regions

OBJECTIVE 5 : Demonstrate ability to use anatomical terms describing abdominopelvic and
quadrant regions.
ACTIVITY 4.

Create an informative video, using a model (ask someone from your family members)
label the abdomen (see image below for example) using red marker for quadrant and blue
marker for region, then locate the correct quadrant and regions of abdomen, and identify
internal organs that can be located each quadrant and region.
Guidelines:
1. The video must not be more than 5 minutes, uncut.
2. No background noise.
3. Clarity, seriousness, and articulation conducting the video must be observed. You
and your model’s half body must be seen in the video.
4. Deadline of this activity will be on September 15, 2021- 7am. Attach your file to the
designated submission bin in your Gclassroom.
5. For any questions and clarifications, message me through my messenger account.
Happy learning!
