 ABOUT DESHBANDHU COLLEGE
DESHBANDHU COLLEGE was established in the
year 1952 by the Ministry of Education, in the
memory of Late Lala Deshbandhu Gupta - a
veteran freedom fighter.
The college made a humble beginning with just
72 students and the courses like Prep(arts),
Prep(science) and Pre-medical. The college was
transferred to ministry of education and later
taken over by the University of Delhi.
The sprawling campus of Deshbandhu college, with
its lawns, gardens and playgrounds provide a
healthy environment for all round development of
the generation.
The College and the faculty offer a holistic
environment to the student and gives preference to
their psychological/academic needs. This creates an
informal, close knit, friendly and supportive
environment that encourages hard work and
academic achievement.

HOW CAN YOU RECRUIT DBCIANS?

The Campus Placement Cell of Deshbandhu College is the sole body that handles
recruitments from college for our students. We handle all the logistics involved in the
placement procedure. The pre-placement talks, CV Collection/ submission and
Management of tests, Group Discussions, and interviews associated with the job
recruitment.

STEP 1: SIGN THE MoU (Memorandum Of Understanding)

The first step is to sign the MoU with the Placement Cell . This MoU will be sent to you once you contact the
Campus Placement Cell either by mail or telephone. The signing of the MoU helps in formulating the
recruitment procedure between the company and Placement Cell. The recruitment procedure cannot start
until the company has signed the MoU.

STEP 2: INITIATING WITH THE OPPORTUNITY

The Placement Cell Team, take forward the opportunity by fulfilling the terms and condition of signed
MoU.The details of which (Date, timings, and venue etc.) can be worked out with the student coordinator.
The opportunities are then promoted on the Social Media Handles through which students can apply.
STEP 3: COLLECTION/ SUBMISSION OF CVs
Interested students are then required to send in their CVs to the CPC, after which they are
forwarded to the company. After the company has shortlisted the students who will be appearing
for the interview and has informed the CPC, a newsletter is sent out notifying the shortlisted
students.

STEP 4: INTERVIEWS
The recruiter can interview as many students as he/she wishes. The company may include a
Group Discussion or Test as a part of its recruitment process. Interviews can be conducted both
on and off campus; the venue is dependent solely on the convenience of the recruiter.

STEP 5: JOB OFFERS

After the interview round is completed and the students who will be offered final placements
have been selected, the CPC is duly notified, following which it informs the selected students.
After this point, the CPC steps out of the process and leaves the selected students to be in direct
contact with the company. Details such as the joining date, location of work etc. are managed
through direct communication between the student and the company.

What is the Internship Fair?

• Deshbandhu college conduct’s internship fair in February.
Internship gives experience to students in their career field. the
Internship fair is held with purpose of inviting Firms to hire
summer, winter, and part time internship.

What is the need of conduct internship fair?

• A internship fair is an excellent way to meet a large number of
potential employers at one time . These Fairs not only provide
employment opportunities, but also provide a network for
career exploration and professional development.

• The transcendent success of Placement Cell, Deshbandhu College was only
