This letter is to certify that American Testing Laboratory performed a toner usage test and density evaluation
conducted in accordance with ASTM Designations F1856-98 and F2036-00. The testing was performed on
the submitted test units (identified above). During the testing, the test printer settings were set at the printer
manufacturer factory default settings. The testing was completed on June 29, 2004.

DENSITY EVALUATION
The density evaluation was conducted in accordance with ASTM Designations F2036-00. The density
evaluation was performed starting at the first printed page produced and at an interval of 1000 pages. The
following density values were produced:

CONCLUSION:
The calculated page yield of the test cartridge exceeded the calculated page yield of the OEM cartridge by
4,305 pages. The average density of the output produced by the test cartridge (1.47) was higher than that of
the output produced by the OEM cartridge (1.43).
