LIFE CHARACTERISTIC
2. Every living thing has particular characteristics so that it could be defined as a
living thing. Some of the characteristics that we know are sensitivity, growth, and
reproduction. Based on what you have observed, explain one example for each
that could represent the sensitivity, growth, and reproduction of a living thing.

TEMPERATURE
3. Nowadays, we have been used to seeing temperature checking during the Covid-
19 pandemic. It is a must-done protocol that has to be passed when we go to a
restaurant, mall, store, or airport. Related to the temperature checking, I want to
ask you to check the regional temperature that is shown on your smartphone,
or the temperature that you set on Air Conditioner (AC) at your house and
convert it to Rheamur and Fahrenheit (Score: 10)
4. Mr. Dani bought an iced coffee from a coffee shop. He forgot to ask the barista to
separate the ice cube to take it away. Then Mr. Dani headed to TMI school for
about 15 minutes driving. If the latest temperature of his iced coffee is 25 oC,
and every five minutes the temperature will rise 5o R, calculate the possible
temperature of his iced coffee after arriving at school on the Fahrenheit scale.

MATTER CLASSIFICATION
5. Some matters could have a form change both physically or chemically. Physical
changes are related to size or form change. Then, the chemical changes are related
to the change of color, smelt, or change to a new matter. Related to those changes,
mention one phenomenon or thing at your house as an example of physical and

ENERGY
We have discussed before that everything on our planet has stored energy. Whether it
is potential energy that relates to the earth’s gravitation, or the kinetic energy when
they are moving.
7. Measure your weight and your parents (your father OR mother) in kg. If you and
your parents are on the third floor of TMI school, which is 20 meters high from
the ground, calculate your potential energy. Which one is higher? Your’s or your
parent’s? (Score: 10)
8. If you and your parents (your father or mother) are driving a motorcycle (100 kg),
calculate your whole kinetic energy if your parent is driving at 4 m/s speed?
