Plasma Gasification Plant

PRESENTATION BY: DR. HS LEE

OUR VALUE PROPOSITION
The Municipality of the City will be able to:
➢Utilize and begin reclaiming some landfill to eliminate the costs of
tipping fees trash out of the town and disposal at a distant facility.

➢Establishing the Municipality of the City Energy Complex that will

transform the area socially and economically.
OUR VALUE PROPOSITION (continue)
➢Process and eliminate banned items that are not currently possible
under the state restrictions
➢Work development creation for the City such as:
1. Biodiesel and Bio Jet Fuels;
2. Electrical Energy for sale and use;
3. Technical and Personal Development.
IMMEDIATE ECONOMIC IMPACTS
➢Trash disposal will move from dumpsite landfill to multi-million disposal
plant.

➢New jobs creation with over 300 jobs in the new technologies from the
Plasma Gasification Plant. 600 jobs within the next two years.

➢Government will benefit from the PGP environmentally and economically.

INTRODUCTION
Disposal of wastes to land is an inevitable component of every solid waste management system.
No waste can be removed from its point of generation without there being a place for it to be
disposed off. Providing adequate disposal facilities is a challenge faced by waste managers.
Disposal of solid waste in inadequate or poorly designed disposal sites may cause:

➢Environmental damage due to contamination of soil, groundwater, surface water. Adverse

impacts result from improper siting, inadequate design and /or poor operation

➢Adverse public health impacts due to spread of vector and air-borne diseases

➢Aesthetic impact which can result in loss of property value and diminished civic pride

➢Deterioration in air quality due to dust odour and smoke (where burning is practised).
Poorly Disposed Sites
EXAMPLE PLANT ECONIMICS
The economics of a PGP are a function numerous factor. We have created a propriety economic
modelling platform that we use to assist customers in the early stages of project development.

The model allows customer to quickly asses the impact of changing numerous assumptions such
as:

• Plant capacity

• Type of feedstock (MSW, RDF, tires, electrical waste, auto shredder residue and etc)

• Gate fees (tipping fees)

• Combinations of feedstocks and gate fees

WAY FORWARD
➢ After
validating business development needs and priories, we will
ensure that our business objective align with Municipality of the City
needs.

➢ From this perspective, we will propose cost effective solutions that

deliver measurable values to Municipality and the citizens of the City:
EXAMPLE PLANT ECONOMICS (CONTINUE)

• Power prices and/or liquid fuel prices

• Plant configuration (combined cycle, reciprocating engines, FT liquid and etc)
• Labour rates for plant staff
• Renewable energy incentives
• Interest rates
• Debt and equity levels
• Installation factors specific to a geography
• Contingency factor
EXAMPLE PLANT ECONOMICS (CONTINUE)

The outputs from the Scoping Model include:

• Estimated capital cost

• Estimated operating expenses

• Internal rate of return

• Return on equity

The Scoping Model provides only indicative capital cost estimates and project returns. Its purpose
is not to provide definitive costs and returns. It is a great tool for running “what- if analyses” in the
early stages of project development.
A PROVEN METHODOLOGY

Our ability to deliver consistent, reliable solutions

is based on a time-proven methodology that
places your needs above all other considerations:
• Phase 1: Signing Letters Of Agreement & Final Budgets
• Phase 2: Front-End Engineering & Design / Training
• Phase 3: Construction & Entrepreneurial Spinoffs
• Phase 4: Plant Operation And Land Reclamations
LIQUID FUELS including:
o Ethanol
o Jet Fuel
o Diesel and Naptha
o Methanol
o Propanol
OUR VISION:
Our vision is to provide the leading technology platform for converting the world’s
waste into clean energy for a healthier planet.
We are the leader in the plasma gasification market by virtue of the three
commercial plants that use our technology. No other plasma gasification company
has technology that is used commercially to process significant amounts of waste.
It is our goal to displace incineration as the most common method to thermally
process waste, not only due to the economic benefits associated with higher
efficiencies and higher value end products but also because of the environmental
benefits. Plasma gasification is destined to become the best available technology for
the treatment of waste.
