Reflection
How do you interpret Nelson Mandela’s quote? Do you agree with him? Argument your answer.

I do agree with Nelson Mandela, because education is the basis of society, therefore, if the current basis are
changed, society will change in the future. Although education is not the only pillar of a society, since it is
accompanied by several more such as health, it does represent the central pillar. A good education, academic and
moral, represents human beings ready to change and improve society.

What do you think the expression “The world is your oyster” means?

I believe that this phrase refers to the fact that we are the pearl that is found inside the
oyster and, the latter represents the world. Therefore, the oyster can represent 3
functions, the first is to create and educate us, as the oyster does with the sand to turn it
into a pearl, the second is that it fulfills the function of protecting us, keeping us inside it
and, sometimes, the third is to keep ourselves inside, because the world as such can be
taken as the Earth or as society and, in my case, I think of it as society. Therefore, the third
function refers to when people are held back from giving their full potential in what they
like out of fear of failure.

• What do you think is the main point of this reading?

I think the main idea of the text is to find and report on the reason why people from different
geographical places are so different with respect to their personalities and behavior.

Do you consider yourself to be any of the personalities that you find the reading? Which one?

Yes, I think I am an introverted but social person. In general, I don't tend to talk a lot and I don't
like to be with many people, but I like to be in contact with others. I like to solve my own problems
on my own and I prefer conversations that take place between just two people. Also, I like to
socialize, but I get exhausted if I spend a lot of time with others. Also, I'd rather be in a small group
of friends that I have trust with than a large group of people.

1. Masterminds are emotionally balanced, which means that they are less prone to
