Aside from being a hot continent because majority of its countries are located near the equator, Africa’s
has a lot of beautiful place to visit.

Your task is to explore five (5) each attractions under Natural, Historical and Recreational category in
any countries aside from Egypt.

Follow the given format below. Separate table for each category of attractions.

1. Underwater The underwater waterfall,
Waterfalls, located on Mauritius Island's

underwater currents.

sediment that is constantly moving.
The explanation for this is that the

showcases the phenomenon that
happens underwater.

2. Mount Mount Nyiragongo is one of

3. Victoria Victoria Falls is named the
Falls, Zambia Ambassador Wonder of Africa's
Seven Natural Wonders. It is
regarded as one of the world's
largest and most fascinating
waterfalls. According to National
Geographic, This legendary
waterfall rushes over the lip of a
vast plateau of volcanic rock and
plunges as much as 354 feet,
spanning the width of the Zambezi
River (more than a mile). It
produces mists that could be seen
from more than a dozen miles
away, earning it the nickname Mosi-
oa-Tunya, or "the smoke that
thunders."
4. Mount Mount Kilimanjaro,
Kilimanjiro, popularly known as "Kibi," is one of
Tanzania the world's seven wonders of the
world, located in Tanzania. It is
Africa's tallest mountain and the
world's tallest free-standing
mountain. It is one of the world's
largest stratovolcanoes, reaching a
height of 19,340 feet (5,895
meters). According to National
Geographic, Kilimanjaro is made up
of three cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and
Shira. The mountain contains
almost every type of natural
ecosystem, including cultivated
land, rain forest, heath, moorland,
alpine desert, and an arctic summit.

5. The According to the Seven


Serengeti Natural Wonders, Tanzania and
Kenya share the Serengeti, or
unending plains, with Tanzania
having the majority of the
grasslands. The Maasai Mara is the
name given to the plains that
continue into Keny. It has a total
area of 12,000 square miles (30,000
square kilometers). The Serengeti
National Park is located in the heart
of the Serengeti ecosystem, which
is distinguished by the area covered
by annual migration. The property
borders the Ngorongoro
Conservation Unit, a 528,000-
hectare region designated as a
UNESCO World Heritage Site in
1979.

1. Karnak Karnak Temple is one of
Temple, Egypt's UNESCO World Heritage
Egypt Sites. The Karnak Temple Complex
was the heart of ancient faith during
the New Kingdom, when power was
concentrated at Thebes (modern-
day Luxor), and its importance is
reflected in its massive dimensions.
The pharaohs of the New Kingdom
used it as a treasury, administrative
center, and residence. It is still
regarded as the largest temple
complex ever built anywhere on the
world.

2. The Valley The royal tombs in the Valley


of the Kings, of the Kings are well-known from all
Egypt across the globe. UNESCO has
classified these intricately carved
tombs as a World Heritage Site. The
kings, queens, and nobles of the New
Kingdom (1500-1070 B.C.) were
buried in this valley, which is the
world's most mesmerizing burial
place, for almost a thousand years.
The tombs show meticulous
preparations for the afterlife, in
which humanity were promised
eternal life and pharaohs were
expected to unite with the gods.
3. Rock-Hewn As stated by TCS World
Churches of Travel, The Rock-Hewn Churches of
Lalibela, Lalibela, Ethopia is a major center of
Ethopia pilgrimage, the holy city of Lalibela is
the site of 11 monolithic rock-cut
churches, including the most well-
known, the Church of St. George.
The church was carved out of solid
red volcanic rock and is credited to
King Lalibela, who set out to
establish a "New Jerusalem" in the
12th century. It represent a unique
artistic achievement, in their
execution, size and the variety and
boldness of their form. Lalibela as a
whole is a remarkable testament to
Ethiopian medieval and post-
medieval civilization.

4. Leptis Leptis Magna showcases


Magna, some of the worlds finest remains of
Libya roman architecture. In 1982, the
breathtaking beauty was classified
as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tourist destination contains a
massive basilica, a racetrack, and an
amphitheatre that originally sat up
to 15,000 spectators and is perched
on a slope above the Mediterranean.
Due of the bloodshed that occurred
during the war in Libya in 2011, the
property was designated as an
endangered historic site.

5. Timbuktu, According to UNESCO,


Mali Timbuktu was an intellectual and
spiritual capital and a centre for the
propagation of Islam throughout
Africa in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Djingareyber, Sankore, and Sidi
Yahia, Timbuktu's three magnificent
mosques, pay homage to the city's
golden era. Through the
conservation and dissemination of
ancient records, Timbuktu plays an
important role in preserving the
Islamic history of Africa's Sudano-
Sahelian zone. It was also historically
significant as a trans-Saharan
caravan route and a center of Islamic
culture (c. 1400–1600).

1. Kruger The world-famous Kruger
National Park National Park provides one of
Africa's best animal experiences.
Nearly two million hectares of
unequaled diversity of biological
forms, as well as historical and
archeological sites, make up the
national park. Tourist locations in
Africa offer up-close encounters
with African wildlife such as
elephants, rhinos, buffalo, lions,
and leopards.

2. Blyde River Blyde River Canyon is the


Canyon world's third largest canyon and
Nature the greatest 'green canyon,' with
Reserve the steepest precipitous cliffs of
any canyon on the planet, thanks
to its rich subtropical flora. Hikes,
boat excursions, and rock climbing
activities are all available to
discover the canyon's rich green
scenery, waterfalls, and wildlife.
The Blyde River Canyon Reserve
stretches along the canyon's
twisting road, which gives
increasingly breathtaking views
over sheer cliffs that drop 800
meters into the riverbed at every
turn.

3. Sabi Sand The Sabi Sands Game


Game Reserve Reserve is a 65,000-hectare
reserve that shares a border with
the world-renowned Kruger
National Park. It was founded by
local landowners in the 1950s.
Sabi Sands is home to a number of
all-inclusive luxury safari lodges
that provide visitors guided game
drives, wildlife walks, overnight
accommodations, and traditional
South African cuisines. Sabi Sands
is regarded as one of the best
spots on the world to see
leopards.

4. Bill Harrop’s Bill Harrop's Original


Balloon Safari, Balloon Safaris has been one of
Magaliesburg South Africa's finest hot-air
balloon tour companies since
1981. At selected game lodges,
such as Mabula Private Game
Reserve, guests can pick between
a tour of Magaliesburg or a game-
viewing safari package. Bill
Harrop's Original Balloon Safaris
operates from Skeerpoort
Country Base within the Cradle of
Humankind.
5. Volcanoes Volcanoes National Park in
National Park, Rwanda is famed for its gorilla
Rwanda trekking. This Rwandan national
park, which shares a border with
Uganda and the Democratic
Republic of the Congo, is home to
a growing number of critically
endangered mountain gorillas.
Experts estimate that there are
approximately 600 gorillas in the
park, increasing from around 240-
250 individuals in 1981. In
Rwanda, gorilla trekking is often
regarded as a safe recreation. The
gorillas are mainly unconcerned
about the presence of humans.
