REFLECTION

The first quarter of Grade 10. It was very surprising and hard to accept that I am already in Grade
10 because it felt like yesterday I was still in Grade 8 and that this is my last year in junior high. We
discussed many lessons in the first quarter and it was also a period for us to adjust to this new style of
learning. There were many events that were held online, like the election and we also have online class
which we did not have last year in Grade 9. We also have a new subject called Math elective which helps
us in preparing and studying in advance for the lessons that we will tackle in senior high.

With the new school year comes new lessons and topics that we have to tackle. In English, we
discussed public speaking and its ethics and factors, discourse markers, and persuasive texts. I also
improved my English and grammar by making poems and essays about topics in our society. In Filipino, I
learned and read a lot about the Literary Works of the Mediterranean. I also learned a lot and read short
stories and novels. In Mathematics. We discussed about Arithmetic and Geometric Sequence, Solving
Polynomials, Factor and Remainder Theorem, and Synthetic Division. In Science, we discussed about
Earth Science. I learned a lot about plate movements and plate boundaries and I also learned a lot about
the types of volcanoes, earthquakes and faults. I learned a lot in Araling Panlipunan. In the first quarter, I
learned a lot about contemporary issues and challenges environmental. I also learned about Hazard and
risks, Disaster Prevention and mitigation. I also learned a lot about MAPEH in the first quarter. PE helped
me improve my dancing skills and helped me exercise through the wellness dancercise. I learned a lot
about different art styles and artist that influenced our society though their art. I also learned about the
different professions of doctors who specialize in one field and I also learned how to take care of myself
and what to eat in order to stay healthy. In Music I learned about the different musicians and their music
style and their influence on our society and in music. HRGP taught me a lot about myself and it helped me
understand my thoughts and feelings. I learned about myself and my roles in the family and in the
community. It also helped me in deciding what career I would pursue in the future. In Math Elective, I
learned about many formulas that I can help me understand the lessons in the future. It also helped us in
preparing about the lessons we will encounter in the future.

The first quarter was very fun and enjoyable, yet also very tiring. I learned a lot from my teachers
and in this school year I tried to change my bad habits and try to do my best. It was also a time for me to
adjust after spending two months doing nothing. There were many activities and all of them were,
although tiring and difficult, were fun and it was a wonderful and memorable experience. I also tried
joining more school activities this school year, and I also volunteered to be a class officer since this is my
last year in junior high, so I’ll try to have fun and make the most out of this school year.
