PROJECTS

XG-Boost 101: Used Cars Price Prediction

Various data visualize on techniques were used for understanding features-that-matter. Heat-map analysis
was done for finding highly correlated features which were consequently One-hot encoded. Regression,
Decision Trees and XGboost were used for predicting prices. XGBoost demonstrated a far superior
performance over other algorithms and yielded higher accuracy results.

Advanced Techniques for Volality Forecasting

Focus on understanding different volatility forecasting strategies (time - series analysis). S&P500 index ETF
from 2005 to 2016 was picked for the analysis. Parkinson, Garman-Klass, Rogers-Satchell and Yang- Zhang
were coded in Python for estimating volatility. Regression was used for comparing performance of these
estimators.
