BTLED Program Educational Objectives:

Three to five years after graduation, the BTLED-AFA program graduates will become:

1. Proficient teachers in curriculum development, production of instructional resources, educational


assessment and teaching approaches in Agriculture and Fishery.
2. Effective and efficient leaders in a diverse team in a different roles.
3. Competent in utilizing and integrating ICT in teaching learning practices to promote excellence,
relevant and sustainable educational practices.
4. Certified practitioners who are recipients of National and International recognitions in the fields of
agriculture and fishery.
5. Globally aware on entrepreneurial, civic, health, financial, economic and environmental undertakings.
6. Researchers with advance knowledge and skills to develop projects in the field of agriculture and
fishery.
7. Morally and ethically upright in the practice of the profession.

Program Outcomes: Upon the completion of the course, the students must be able to:
a. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice (PQF level 6 descriptor)
  b. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino
c. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams (PQF level 6 descriptor
d. Act in recognition of professional, social and ethical responsibility
e. Preserve and promote “ Filipino historical and cultural heritages”(based on RA 7722)
f. Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVET Trainers – Assessors Qualification Framework
(PTTQF);
g. Demonstrate broad and coherent, meaningful knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education.
h. Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education;
i. Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher
learning;
j. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in
facilitating these processes in their students;

k. Show a deep and principled understanding of how educational processes relate to larger historical, social,
cultural, and political processes;
l. Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including curriculum development, lesson planning, materials
development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches); and
m. Reflect on the relationships among the teaching process skills, the learning processing in the students, the
nature of the content/subject matter, and other factors affecting educational processes in order to constantly
improve their teaching knowledge, skills and practices.
