WARNING!
Before starting maintenance or repair work, park the
machine on level ground, rest the working equipment flat
on the ground and relieve the pressure in the hydraulic sys-
tem. Shut down the engine and actuate the lever for work-
ing hydraulics several times from neutral to tilting forward
and backwards.
Other controls
Back-up alarm switchable
(optional equipment)
The back-up alarm is used to warn people in the immediate vicinity
of the machine when the machine is reversing or when the "rear-
wards" direction is selected.
– Select the Rearward gear. The back-up warning signal should
be activated immediately.
NOTE! The back-up alarm remains active until the Rearward
gear is changed to Forward or to Neutral gear.
NOTE! In Germany the back-up alarm must be deactivated on
public roads.

4 Axles
Axles
Rear axle with transfer box oil, changing
(TP-version only)
The transfer box is flanged to the rear axle and has a separate oil
A household.
WARNING!
M400667A Drain the oil only at operating temperature.
Wheel hubs Attention! Danger of scalding!
A Level/drain plug (one on each side)
Change interval every 1000 hours, but at least once every year.
Take care of filters/oils/liquids in an environmentally safe way,
see Operator´s Manual.
Rear axle, oil changing (TP-version)
Before unscrewing the plugs, thoroughly clean the respective are-
as:
G Level/drain plug on wheel hubs.
H Drain plug on the rear axle.
I Filling/level plug on the rear axle.
1 When changing the oil, drain the oil from the wheel hubs (A)
and the rear axle.
C B

2 To avoid any injuries caused by the pressure increase in the
Rear axle wheel hubs, move the machine to bring level/drain plug (A) to
B Drain plug top position, loosen and unscrew the plug carefully. Then bring
C Filling/level plug the drain bore to bottom position and let the oil run out.
3 Screw in drain plug (B) with a new O-ring.
4 For filling, turn the wheel hubs until the word "Oil level" is in
horizontal position.
5 Fill oil into both wheel hubs until it starts to flow over.
6 Screw in level/drain plug (A) with a new O-ring.
7 Fill oil through filling/level bore (C) until it starts to flow over.
8 Screw in filling/level plug (C) with a new O-ring.
Capacity when changing oil: 17.5 litres (4.6 US gal)
For quality of oil, see Operator´s Manual.
Checking
Check the transmission oil filter every 500 hours.
1 Park the machine on firm and level ground.
2 Select neutral (no gear engaged) and apply the parking brake.
3 Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.
4 Turn off the battery disconnect switch.
5 Check the maintenance indicator (A):
B V1101453
– If it shows green, the filter can be used.
A Maintenance indicator – If it shows red, the filter must be replaced immediately.
B Cover (for the filter element)
Replacing
Replace the transmission oil filter if the indicator shows red or eve-
ry 1500 hours.
1 Park the machine on firm and level ground.
2 Select neutral (no gear engaged) and apply the parking brake.
3 Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.
4 Turn off the battery disconnect switch.
5 Unscrew the cover (B) for the filter element.
NOTE! Collect draining oil.
6 Replace the filter element (C).
C 7 Check the O-ring (D) and replace it if it is damaged.
8 Oil the O-ring slightly and screw on the cover tightly.
9 Make a short test drive and check that there are no leakages.
