ensure that students feel
comfortable speaking out and
participating in the classroom.

beginning of the semester. I
will prompt students each
semester to think about their
own personal goals towards
academic excellence and ask
them what type of behaviors
they believe will curate such

I have always wanted to use
Socratic questioning in my
classroom. But, in trying to
implement it in my tutoring
and other educational
interactions, I realize that this
is a skill that takes time to be

Professionalism is something
I value not only as a student
but as a teacher. I hope to
model professionalism for my
students and peers.
I will measure progress
toward this goal by seeing
how much direct instruction
