Please accept this resume and cover letter in consideration for the position of Children Program
Worker - After School Program as posted on the Indeed website on December 22, 2019. As a Child
and Youth Care graduate from George Brown College, I have direct experience in shelter and group
home settings. I believe that by joining the Boys and Girls Club I will be able to help children in
reaching the path of success, to encourage the children, and help tackle important social issues.

Being in the Child and Youth Care Program gave me the theory and hands-on experience which
prepared me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to take care of children and youth. I have
assisted young people with making short and long-term SMART goals and I am proud to say that they
have succeeded in following their short-term goals and they are trying to achieve their long-term goals
to improve, get better, and have more confidence in themselves. As a child and Youth Worker at ATI
Foundation for about 2 years, I possess a strong knowledge of autism and disabilities, how to handle
the situation if anything goes wrong, and the different ways to communicate with young people. I am
very friendly, caring and I have strong communication skills. This role requires building a good
relationship with children, doing activities with fun children, and having knowledge of community
services.

I am assured that with all the training and skills I have gathered, I believe that I would bring
the Boys and Girls Club the focus to show children the path of success, and encourage
