I am writing to you regarding the Finance Analyst intern job position that opened recently as
advertised on Handshake. This opportunity appears to be a great fit for me and will bring me
fulfillment in the professional experience, interests, and my career goal. 
 
I am a third-year Finance student at Texas Christian University (TCU) where I am among the top
10% of students with the best academic results (3.75 GPA). Additionally, I am Vice President of
Finance of the TCU International Student Association which means I am responsible for
planning and executing financial strategies and allocating the budget efficiently for all activities.
This precious experience has allowed me to become a great leader, thus taught me to work and
elaborate with people with different backgrounds, countries, and races.
 
During my time at TCU, I once was a part of a research team of five people. Together, we
completed a complex analysis that integrated data from a diversity of sources to analyze the
financial performance of seven universities nearby. I appreciated this achievement because of the
thrill of being able to dive deep into the data, and discover their tendencies and predictabilities,
as well as their faults – this is the world in which I want to immerse. This work took advantage
of my data analysis skills, my ability to interact with many tremendous people, especially the
senior managers of other universities, and my ability to think critically and work with plenty of
detailed information and numbers while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. 
 
The position of Financial Analyst is attractive to me because it requires excellent use of detailed
information to make careful predictions and your advertised need of having the ability to “work
effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment”. Also, the ability to communicate
is what I am confident in due to having the ability to speak English, French, and Chinese
fluently. I appreciate an opportunity to learn more about the company and the position of
Financial Analyst.
