1. JOB PURPOSE

Dyeing shift manager plays a vital role by executing dyeing programs in order to meet target production with
quality.

2. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/KNOWLEDGE
(Indicate the minimum recruitment specification and also the ideal person specification for fully satisfactory job performance)

Qualifications and Education: B.Sc/ M.Sc in Textile engineering (Wet Process Technology) or B.Sc/ M.Sc in
applied chemistry or B.Sc/ M.Sc in Chemical engineering

Experience: 4-6 Years of experience in dyeing & finishing unit (knit based)

Training:

Knowledge: Knowledge on various types of fabric and their dyeing process; usage of dyes and chemicals and their
properties; various types of dyeing machines; effects of various dyeing variables (Steam, water, color, PH etc)

1. S/he follows up process (through THD & Sedomaste) in order to achieve 85% efficiency per machine per day by May 2016. (% efficiency per machine)

3. S/he schedules preventive maintenance of dyeing/finishing machines in order to keep downtime for maintenance within 1.20 hrs (Per day avg.) by May 2016. (#

5. S/he controls manpower within budget provided by management by May 2016. ($ Budget)

4. COMMUNICATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

*Asst. Manager: Receives recipe and gives updates on scope of improvements and adjustments
*Dyeing Manager: Communicates regarding manpower, floor management, quality, chemicals etc
*Batch In-charge: Receives ready batch
*Finishing In-charge: Communicates regarding process, shade, gsm, dia, shrinkage, manpower etc
*Planning Executive: Communicates about delivery of finished fabric, supports with data to readjust plans
*Production Officer: Communicates regarding proper usage of chemicals, various reporting (recipe adjustment,
machine wise production, compliance related issues etc.), number of ready batches etc.
*Quality Sr. Executive: Communicates regarding batches which needs correction in order to reduce finishing WIP
*Shift In-charge: Communicates regarding decision on shade, addition and topping
*Shift supervisor: Communicates regarding various outdoor orders
*Merchandiser: Communication regarding fabric quantity, fabric quality, shade, delivery etc

This job requires human relation skills to become successful. S/he needs to implement the SOP in order to achieve
the production target. S/he needs to be accurate while giving judgment regarding process
alteration/addition/topping. S/he should have full control over the production (bulk & finishing) floor and needs to
confirm accurate reporting. S/he needs to establish proper monitoring to ensure projected production as well as
improved quality.
