Definition of Special Industry
It includes all [Manufacturing/production, Agro & Forestry & Mineral] based industries u/s 15(2) of IEA 2076 except Industries Producing: Cigarette, Bidi, Cigar, Chewing tobacco, Gutka, Paan masala or similar product having tobacco as a basic raw material. Alcohol, Beer or Similar Other products. Manufacturing Industries: Industries which produce goods by utilizing raw materials, semi-processed raw materials or un-used products. Mineral Industries: The industry extracting & processing the metallic and non- metallic material. Agro & Forestry industries: It includes tea & coffee (production & processing), Fruits (production & Processing), dairy industry etc. Special industry does not cover industries related to electricity, petroleum, fuel, tourism, IT, BOOT, Infrastructure (road, bridge etc.), health institution. (3) Following are the additional concession for Special Industry: If Special Industry Established in Concession SEZ situated in Himali & prescribed No tax for 1st 10 year hilly district Thereafter, 50% concession SEZ situated in Other District No tax for 1st 5 year Thereafter, 50% concession Industrial Area 25% concession for 1st 5 year of operation.
