BACKGROUND
Overview of Telangana State
• Telangana State, the 29th state in Union of India, has glorious history of ~2500 years

• State holds wealthy tapestry of architecture, monuments, fortresses, heritage


buildings, museums etc.

• Telangana arts, crafts and handlooms are world-renowned and bespeak of archaic
traditions and rich culture.

• State is a treasure trove of naturally endowed waterfront destinations that provide


ample scope for promoting leisure and eco-tourism.

Project Background
• Kaleshwaram Irrigation Project, the world’s largest multi – stage lift
irrigation scheme dedicated to the nation by the Hon’ble Chief
Minister, Government of Telangana in June, 2019 is a global
engineering marvel

• Project has established several records in the annals of irrigation


sector in the country.

• Water from river Godavari at Kaleshwaram is lifted from 92 m ht for


supply of water to farmlands, taking to 618 m ht.

• Project provides water for drinking and irrigation purpose to ~45


lakh acres in 20 of the 33 districts in Telangana

• Mid Manair, Upper Manair, Ranganayaka Sagar and Annapurna


are the link reservoirs of the prestigious Kaleshwaram Project,
offering picturesque views of natural blue waters blended with lush
green landscapes. 4

Project Background

Mid Manair, Upper Manair, Ranganayaka Sagar and Annapurna are the link reservoirs of the
prestigious Kaleshwaram Project, located amidst vivid kaleidoscope of stunning landscapes,
mesmerizing hillocks, fertile lands, scenic backwaters and rustic villages– truly visitors paradise

The cluster of these reservoirs is well connected to Hyderabad International Airport (100 to 140 km
distance) and will be a perfect weekend destination not only for the people of Hyderabad but

Project Background
• Ranganayaka Sagar Reservoir is one of the link reservoirs of Kaleshwaram irrigation
project situated near Siddipet town, Telangana State.
• Reservoir is spread in an extent of 250 acres with a capacity of 3 TMC of water
• Beauty of the reservoir is a hillock of ~55 acres in the middle of the water body -
transformed into a perfect island
• Year round availability of water in the reservoir makes it a vantage point to unwind
and relish water sports and various other activities

Existing Features – Upper Manair

Two (2) Sites have been identified in the


proximity to the reservoir for the development
of tourism infrastructure
• Site A: Located adjacent to the canal
providing excellent views of the reservoir
and the surrounding landscape. An old
guest house exists within the project Site
• Site B: ~ 4 acres of land is available for
development. A large Banyan tree exists
within the project site, which can be
integrated as part of the development.
Both the sites are ~1.5 km apart and are
connected by Manair Project road

▪ TSTDC, Government of Telangana invites experienced “MASTER PLANNING, ARCHITECTURAL &
ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS” for preparation of “Master Plans and Infrastructure Designs” for the
proposed Greenfield Tourist Destinations at Telangana, India .

▪ Interested applicants shall submit EOI cum RFQ application comprising of following documents:
o Letter of Application (Appendix 1 of EOI cum RFQ document)
o General Information (Appendix 2 of EOI cum RFQ document)
o Details of consultancy experience as specified in Section 4 (Appendix 3 of EOI cum RFQ
document)
o Details of Annual Turnover as specified in Section 4 (Appendix 4 of EOI cum RFQ document)
o Any other relevant credentials.
o Brief Presentation on similar Project experience
