Azeem English Magazine is back, but with a Special,

Islamic Edition for our AEMFam. This special edi-
tion shall provide our readers with a deeper insight
into many debates of Islamic knowledge, which shall
help in restoring Islamic values among the society,
and overall: a better outlook towards life for the
reader. The best part about this special Islamic
Edition is that it is trilingual i.e. our humble
writers shared their knowledge in three
different languages: English, Punjabi and
Urdu. There are answers for those who seek.
Azeem Educational Conference (Regd), established on 1st January 1978, is a non-profit organization
which aspires to guide, inform and educate the masses through various modern channels. The chief
motto of AEC is, “Awareness, Education & Confidence”.

One of the basic objectives of AEC is to encourage the masses to get awareness about several fields
including culture, literature, science, mental health etc. through modern ethical practices.

AEC intends to inculcate the values of social awareness, development, constructive journalism, cultural
harmony and positivity among the society. AEC works on its mission through different projects compris-
ing monthly Azeem English Magazine, quarterly “The Journal of Cultural Perspectives”, mental health
workshops, webinars and various training projects.

 The 41st Annual Farooq-e-Azam Day & Interna-
tional Conference on Islamic History was organized
by Azeem Educational Conference (Regd.) to com-
memorate Caliphate of the 2nd righteous Caliph of
Islam and companion of Holy Prophet, Hazrat Umar
Farooq (RA), on Saturday, 26th September 2021 at Sir
Syed Memorial Society, Islamabad.
Some 700-800 people attended the event.
Twin-cities have always been welcoming, people from
all walks of life attended. Dr Sultan Bashirudin
Mehmood (Sitara e Imtiaz), former Director General of
Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, attended as the
Chief Guest. Syed Ahmad Masood, President Sir Syed
Memorial Society, Pir Sultan ul Arifeen, Chancellor
Mohiuddin Islamic University, Azad Kashmir attended
the conference. Dr Umer Hayat, Chairman Faculty of
Islamic Studies, Government University of Faisalabad,
Dr Moinuddin Hashmi, Chairman Faculty, Seer-
at-un-Nabi, AIOU, Dr Hafiz Muhammad Sajjad Chair-
man, Faculty Comparative Religious Studies, AIOU,
Islamabad, also attended. The conference was presid-

ed by the Patron-in-Chief of Azeem Educational Con-
ference (Regd.), Dr Muhammad Azeem Farooqi.
The event was divided into four sessions. All the
sessions were well-organized and managed. And had
the right balance of different aspects of life, for
instance, the first session started with the recitation of
Holy Quran which was followed by Naat-e-Rasul.
Research papers on the life and different aspects of
Hazrat Umar were presented by national and interna-
tional researchers. Academicians, researchers, ulema,
and jurisprudents all attended the International Con-
ference on Islamic History.
The first segment featured talks on themes like
tasavuf and sufism by scholars like Mr Muhammad
Waseem Farooqi. Professor Suleman Butt was the next
speaker, he talked about the importance of the rights
and duties in shariah and tariqa. The third speaker,
Barrister Muhammad Asif Raza talked on “balance
between Huqooq-ul-Ibaad and Huqooq-ullah”.
Second session featured national and internation-
al scholars who presented their research work on
different aspects of Caliphate of Umar Farooq (RA),
like: minority rights, equity, leadership skills, acces-
sion, and personal life of Hazrat Umar. Audience put
forth their queries which were answered by the
researchers. This marks the basis of any healthy
academic debate.
The second session continued with a Special
segment of “Subh-e-Azeem” hosted by Imran Khan,
powered by Aur TV Network. This segment featured
academicians, speakers, scholars, and researchers.
The primary theme of this segment was “The traits of
Farooq-e-Azam in the light of contemporary era”. The
major focus was on the common ground between era
of Umar and today’s era. Speakers talked about differ-
ent aspects of Hazrat Umar’s life, as a leader, as a
person, and as a visionary. One important aspect
which was taken under consideration: today’s leader-

ship and comparison with the second rightly guided
caliph of Islam. The speakers also emphasized on the
need to restore and revive the lost values of Islam,
particularly from a leader’s perspective.
Muhammad Umar Nawaz Cheema, Dr Hafiz
Muhammad Sajjad, Musarrat Azeem Farooqi, Dr Umar
Hayat, Dr Noor ul Hassan Hashmi and Anam Shezaddi
were the speakers, and presented their research
papers, and briefed about their findings.
Third session brought a change in taste for the
audience. The little hearts of Al-Fouz-ul-Azeem
Quran Academy, Islamabad presented some
harm-warming performances. They performed 99
names of Allah, and Qaseedah Burdah Shareef. The
performances were enjoyed by the people and distin-
guished guests alike.
Audience also enjoyed exhibition of a documenta-
ry film on the journey of Azeem Educational Confer-
ence and the core team. AEC is a non-profit organiza-
tion and aims to promote academic, cultural, and
literal values among the people, particularly the youth
of the country. AEC has proudly been rendering its
services for the people for over two decades.
This marked the end of the third segment, and the
initiation of the fourth segment. In the fourth
segment, dastars and certificates were awarded and
distributed among students, spiritual successors, and
distinguished guests. What makes this dastar and
certificate distribution ceremony interesting is the
fact that it has been an important part of the Annual
International Conference on Islamic History and has
been going on since many years.
In the final segment of the conference,
Patron-in-Chief Azeem Educational Conference
(Regd.), Dr Muhammad Azeem Farooqi concluded the
sessions. In his speech, he talked about the dire need
to incorporate faith with modern values. In his speech
he talked about the seerat of the second rightly guided
caliph of Islam, his vision, and the need to talk

integrate today’s education with Islamic knowledge,
he emphasized on the need to ensure a peaceful world,
to incorporate faith with harmony and tolerance. Dr
Farooqi’s conclusive remarks were followed by dua,
and that’s how the international conference ended.
The best part about this international conference
on the topic Islamic history was well-categorized,
well-curated, well-executed, and moderated
brilliantly, as it had many flavors in it’s essence.
During the breaks, aarifana kalam and ballads were
recited, for the audience. The conference was broad-
casted live on various social media platforms, in asso-
ciation with Aur TV Network. Everyone had access to
the event, which is still available for viewership for
general masses on Aur Network as well on many social
media outlets of AEC and its sister organizations like
The Curtain Raiser Productions, and Azeem English
Magazine.
