1st Conditional.

Describe situaciones REALES o PROBABLES en el FUTURO.


Forma de uso: IF + Present Tense, WILL + INFINITIVE
Perfect Continuous (s + have/has been + verb.ing)

Simple (s + infinitive verb 1ra.col) Perfect Simple (s + have/has + verb 3ra.col -ed)

Continuous (s + v to be + verb.ing)

AFFIRMATIVE: “IF I study, I WILL pass my exams.”


NEGATIVE: “IF I don’t study, I WON´T pass my exams.”
(don´t: do not / won´t: will not)

1) If I GO (go) out tonight, I WILL GO (go) to the cinema.


2) If you GET (get) back late, I WILL BE (be) angry.
3) If we DO NOT SEE (not/see) each other tomorrow, we WILL
SEE (see) each other next week.
4) If he COMES (come), I WILL BE (be) surprised.
5) If the weather DOESN’T IMPROVE (not/improve), we WILL
NOT HAVE (not/have) a picnic.
6) If I DON’T GO (not/go) to bed early, I WILL BE (be) tired
tomorrow.
2nd Conditional.
Describe situaciones IMAGINARIAS o IMPROBABLES.
Forma: IF + Subj + Past Tense, Subj + WOULD + INFINITIVE
Perfect Continuous (s + had been + verb.ing)
Simple (s + verb 2da.col -ed) Perfect Simple (s + had + verb participle 3ra col)

Continuous (s + v to be past + verb.ing)

AFFIRMATIVE: IF she fell, she WOULD hurt herself.


NEGATIVE: IF she didn´t fell, she WOULDN´T hurt herself.
(didn’t: did not / wouldn’t: would not)

1) If I WERE (be) you, I WOULD GET (get) a new job.


2) If we WEREN’T (not/be) friends, I WOULD BE (be) angry with
you.
3) If I HAD (have) enough money, I WOULD BUY (buy) a big
house.
4) If she WEREN’T (not/be) always so late, she WOULD BE (be)
promoted.
5) If we WON (win) the lottery, we WOULD TRAVEL (travel) the
world.
6) If I SPOKE (speak) perfect English, I WOULD HAVE (have) a
good job.
