Dear Kandie Donda,

I am writing regarding a potential teaching position in Social Studies at Saguaro High School. I
learned about the position through the Scottsdale Unified School District job postings. After
visiting the website for SUSD and student teaching in the district, I have truly appreciated the
philosophy of working hard and providing a focus on inquiry in the classroom.

As a teacher, my only prior experience is student teaching and studying at Arizona State
University. My first in class experience took place at Tonalea K-8 and I have savored creating a
relationship with the students after two years of being in and out of the classroom. I have also
loved working with my lead teacher to develop lessons and figure out how to approach difficult
situations. I have also been in a completely asynchronous environment, and most of it was
grading and feedback, but I also recorded lessons and talked to struggling students who
contacted me.

I have background in Student Government, having been the Vice President and Treasurer of my
senior class in high school and this meant I worked with a lot of the clubs and teams. Both taught
me to lead and facilitate fundraisers, assemblies, and commerce at my high school, and this
would help me as a club or team sponsor if I were given the opportunity. ASU has also provided
me background in lesson planning with a specific focus in inquiry and using digital tools to
expand resources and mediums for students and I to use.

Thank you for your time, I hope that I can be part of the Scottsdale Unified School Districtand be
an exemplary Social Studies teacher that gives 110%. I hope that my outgoing leadership
qualities and encouraging work ethic pique your interest. Thank you for the opportunity, I hope
