The Global Liveability Index (GLI) is a ranking system developed by the
Economist Intelligence Unit to assess the quality of life in 140 cities around
the world. The GLI determines which locations around the world provide the
best or the worst living conditions. The GLI is based on 30 factors across
the five categories being; Stability, Healthcare, Culture and Environment,
Education and Infrastructure. Each city is assigned a score for each category
and given a final liveability index out of 100.
