PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. TITLE : Implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2018

VI. RATIONALE

In compliance with DepEd Memorandum No.66, s. 2018, the Department of

Education (DepEd) will conduct the 2018 Brigada Eskwela with the theme “Pagkakaisa
para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan, Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan”
from May 28- June 2,2018. The Brigada Eskwela is the National Schools’ Maintenance
Week the aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute
their time, effort and resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening
of the School Year in June.

VII. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

This project shall attain the following objectives;

1. Implementation of Brigada Eskwela 2018;
2. Implementation of School Safety and Preparedness Guide;
3. Make the school disaster- ready and develop disaster- resilient community;
4. Prepare the school for the School Year 2018-2019;
5. Encourage and engage parents, teachers, and students, internal and
external stakeholders.

VIII. MECHANICS:
1.Parade around the community with the parents, teachers, Students and
Stakeholders;
2.Kick off ceremony and closing program will be done before and after the activity;
3.Parents, students and stakeholders were assigned separately in their respective
areas for the conduct of the following;
a. Cleaning, weeding, uprooting, and cutting of tall grasses and bushes
around the school campus;
b. Repair of arm chairs, teachers table, windows and comfort rooms;
c. Repair of fences, pathways, canopy and alleys;
d. Clean up activity inside the classrooms.
 4.Teachers will receive donations in cash or in-kind from donors for the conduct of
the different activities;
5.Facilitate the different activities like feeding, disaster risk reduction training, first
aid training, stakeholders engagement strategy;
a. Safe learning facilities;
b. School Disaster Management;
c. Disaster Risk Reduction in Education
d. School supplies giveaways, SSG scholarship grants, free blood pressure
checkup and raffle draw for the different stakeholders and participants.
6. Provisions of small token for “early birds” and the most industrious brigade
participants.
